Caliper covers, do they in any significant way reduce brake dust?

Was thinking about pulling the trigger if they kill the majority of dust emitted by the pads.

Anyone have any accurate intel on this?

One or two guys on here that have them think they reduce dust.

I believe can offer some accurate input on your question.  I had my car from August 2010 until April 2011 without the caliper covers and did have some brake dust on my wheels whenever I cleaned/detailed the car.  Installed the caliper covers and have had them on ever since and the amount of brake dust has been reduced.  I can't say exactly how much, but I would estimate it to be at least 60% less brake dust with the covers.
Now, I can't say that the replacement pads (per the brake TSB on the 2010's) never had an excessive amount of brake dust, but the amount has been reduced to the point that unless you look closely, you really don't notice the dust when the wheels haven't been cleaned for quite a few miles.  However, when cleaning the wheels you will get dust on the cleaning towels.  Lastly, the caliper covers will not eliminate the dust totally but it does reduce it.  Also my advice is that if you do get the covers, take your time when installing them to make sure they are positioned correctly...and be sure to check to see if you need the 3mm wheel spacers for clearance on your car.

can anyone tell me if the MGP covers fit on the SHO with Performance package? I have custom wheels on the car so the clearance is better..... i'm just curious about the actual calipers and if the calipers are different for a performance package car?

I like my MPG covers. Never notice any wheel dust.
My covers are approaching 4 yrs old. I wouldn't say the finish is as good as day one, but OK.

i've had mine almost 2 yrs, like them a lot. don't know for sure they reduced dust. what reduced dust was when went to more open custom wheels & think spartan is right caliphers are the same. new wheels had a better offset so was lots of room for them then . regular wheels still gave enough room.
