Catch Can Setup

I wanted to see how many people are running a JLT style oil separator, and if there are positive results? Reading many posts on the forum, it seems that UPR might be like top line, but way too pricey. And, it seems that UPR does not list much info, I am just curious as if it cleans the front side as well vesus JLT that only keeps the back side cleaned?

Also, has anyone home made, or modify their own style based on buying a can, and hooking up the lines? From reading some reviews, the only downside to JLT, is that the container is too small and that oil comes in and doesn't stay in due to pressure. Any input...

I am thinking of trying to make one myself over the winter, and I am just curious if anyone knows what quick connectors are needed, I haven't looked under the hood/cover yet? Are they like 3/8 doorman PN 800-086?
And, what type of hose would be preferred, pcv hose or fuel line?

I have the JLT, I do get some oil in mine, no idea if there is too much pressure and is pushing any of it through. Not sure on the connectors

Can you tell me Nick what size connectors are those that hook into the valve cover, if you know or anyone else?

I am thinking of picking up a universal catchcan to test it. My question is, do you guys think that i should pick up one with an airfilter breather on top o just an enclosed can?
