Clicking Sounds

So for the last few weeks I have heard this clicking sound coming out of my front suspension. Yesterday it seem to get a little louder. I also noticed that when I get in the car, it make the same noise.

I searched on here for anyone else that has had a similary noise, but did not find anything.

Any of you guys experience anything like this? If so, what was the cause?

If it appears without moving the car, it could be suspension related.  Do you have stock, or H&Rs?  Moving, then it is usually related to the hubs, esp on the 2013+, but could be the CV joint also.

Have the PP?

Common for hubs to make clicking noise when moving steering wheel back and forth.  I had my hubs replaced at 5k miles and now at 23K i'm starting to hear it again.

Can you try powerbraking and tell me if you hear the same noise?

Can you describe the sound? I get a clunk from my right front when I turn the wheel, not what I would call a "click"

Since the noise occurs just by getting into the car, it makes me think about static suspension noises, like loose parts or worn grommets.  As Manu suggests, be sure the TSB on possible incomplete insertion of the front axle half shaft has been done.

Several months ago I had the car in for an oil leak, which turned out to be the return line for the rear turbo.

While the car was there, they found that the passanger side half shaft was popped out of place. So they replaced it.

When I am sitting still and turn the wheel to the right, I get the clicking sound. But when I am driving the car, I get it in either direction.

I do that the PP. Stock suspension.

Not me - mine is more of a clunk NOT the click. Will have it looked at next week when in for an oil change....thanks for posting the youtube links!!!!

I have been all to familiar with all these isssues, first off the clicking sound affects mostly the 13+SHO with the performance package, this is my second set of front hubs that the dealer has installed under warranty, the first set only lasted me about a year untli it unfortunetly returned with vengeance, would suggest speaking with your service advisor and try to have the Timken heavy duty hubs ordered as an alternate and possibly pay for the difference in price which should not be to much unless you like changing them every year or so and would also benefit you and the dealer at the end,now getting to the front end clunk noise which in my case was simply fixed by re-torquing the strut tower bolt to oem specs because it was fairly loose and solved my issue, hope this helps anyone out in determinig the cause of these annoying noises.  Z

Obviously I know I need to get the car inspected, if it is indeed the hubs, am I causing any more damage to the car driving it? Also, if I can't ge the car to the dealer and fixed qucikly, would you guys advise against me drving it to Canada with this issue?

I would advise you to sit back and enjoy the ride and trip and worry about it when you get back and mention to your service advisor the TSB reference posted below and usually these parts have to be ordered, best of luck.  Z      TSB #TSB-13-5-14
