I'm not seeing in any detail the recommended tightness for the torx-45 bolts into the base plate for the DI pump?  Anyone do a firestorm/xtreme-DI pump have any input?

I can tell you that if you over tighten them, they are pretty easy to snap. Use a 1/4 drive ratchet and just turn them until they are tight. Any ugga duggas at all and they will snap. PITA getting an extractor down in there to remove. No need to discuss how I know these things...

Installing those bolts were the most anxiety inducing mod I have ever done on a vehicle.  Lol.

Awesome .... I handle anxiety ... like a molten hot hand grenade Bondo'ed to my hand :P

So make them tight .. but don't be an ape ... i'm so screwed I ape everything :D

Just remember tighten them down equally.  Remember, you are pushing down against main spring.  Just be careful and take your time.

This is all with the fuel injection pump cam lobe at BDC

Factory specs are:

NOTE: Clean the fuel injection pump bolts and apply Thread Sealant with PTFE to the bolts.
Install the fuel injection pump with the fuel injection pump mounting plate and loosely install 2 new fuel injection pump bolts, alternately tighten each bolt one complete revolution until seated. Tighten the 2 fuel injection pump bolts in the following 2 stages.
        Stage 1: Tighten to 10 Nm (89 lb-in).
Stage 2: Tighten an additional 45 degrees.

The good news is you can get 2 replacement bolts for 13 bucks from the dealer....mine even had them in stock.

Just have your hand way down on the handle like right on the socket itself when you are tightening it.
