Stainless Works offers a $450.00 option for Thermal Coating on their downpipes. Has anyone had thermal coating on their downpipes? I'm sure less engine bay heat is a good thing with turbo charged engines.

Hmm, that thermal coating option sounds interesting. Do shops give people much trouble for installing catless downpipes?
Man, I wish in retrospect, that I would've thermal coated my DP's.
But as literally the 1st person to have run modded, hand built DP's, it was hard enough at that time, just to get the person who made them for me, to complete them in the 1st place.
Still, it's nice to see the prices coming down overall for that mod, and so many vendors offering them now, along with the thermal coating option. Very cool to say the least!

Along the lines of install, and whether shops give their customers grief (about installing them) I suppose that can depend on where you live, and said respective State's Emissions Laws.
I know in IL, it's a real PITA to get someone to install them here, as our Emissions Laws are incredibly restrictive. Not as bad as Cali's, but pretty darn close.
If you reside in a State that has similar, restrictive restrictions, I would suggest keeping mum about who did the work for you (if you happen to find a facility that will do the install that is).
