*Erased*

IMHO would not worry about that previous run because it certainly happens to the best of us and would just focus on getting her dialed in properly and getting to know the car takes lots of time, effort and practice especially if purchased new but found out patience is the key but with the cooler weather upon us you will Definitely see some better numbers and you should be golden.  Z  :)

It's almost like Ford dictates how fast these cars would be by what transmission they have. Seems like all the 6F55 cars run pretty much the same times, regardless of how much power they are supposed to make.

I ran high 8.9-low 9.0 @ 77mph in the 8th (no local quarter), and I've seen a few Fusion Sport runs in the high 13s. I'd call all those times within the margin of error for conditions and say it's a wash. However, considering how much more power your car makes it should handily put my Sport down. Torque management for the win! It looks like your car is finishing at a higher speed though, which I assume is because the TM is worse at low speeds.

Anyway, that is a damn nice car! I'll be tracking this thread closely to what you come up with for this platform. Do you know where the extra .3 liter comes from? Bore, stroke, or both? I'm betting you also have bigger turbos, since the stock 2.7 snails run out of steam at around 400hp (from what I hear).

I agree on the transmission, gearing is set for the way they build the EB which is boost for lowend and mostly NA for cruise for fuel econ. In order to get a really good drag car out of these things I think re-gearing is ultimately what needs to be done. In the fusion the first few gears need to be longer and 4 and 5 need to be shorter with 6th staying where it is for economy.

Not sure what the ratios are on the SHOs or MKZ but I bet its a lot of the same story since the whole low end/top end dynamic is the selling point of the platform.

Your notes on BND stuff just makes me more and more excited, i ordered a full set of fluids and I keep wondering when that all is going to show up. I'm sure it takes some time, but I want it NAO!

I am using Zaino products right now, got any pics of this magic detailer's work?

Sounds pretty good too!  Were your sport paddling?

Found this page, not sure of reliability info:
http://www.automobile-catalog.com/make/lincoln/mkz_2gen/mkz_2_sedan_2/2017.html

Gearbox: Ford-GM 6F transmission

IV 1.414 (4.47)
V 1 (3.16)
VI 0.742 (2.34)

ETIS does say the trans is 6F55 for the 3.0T/AWD in this example below:
MKZ, 3.0L GTDI TC V6 Petrol, White Gold
VIN Number:   3LN6L5FC1HR611291
Primary Features
Build Date:   16.06.2016
Vehicle Line:   MKZ
Body Style:   4 Door Saloon
Version:   Reserve Version
Engine:   3.0L GTDI TC V6 Petrol
Transmission:   6 Speed Auto Transmission 6F55

Axle Ratio:   3.16
Emission:   50 State Emission Requirements
Air Conditioning:   Dual Zone Auto Temp Control A/C

Easiest way to tell is probably compute the ratio from TSS/OSS and Gear readings in Forscan.  That's how I did it on the Edge.

Congrats on the new ride! Really love the look of those new MKZs. Since you got the Black Label, what "theme" did you get?

Very nice interior. You should take her up to Geneva in the fall and take some vineyard inspired photos. Its beautiful up there that time of the year.

Definitely outstanding from A-Z and it looks like she's a keeper for sure especially after applying the crystal serum. Z :thumb:

$150 for a reapply I'd do that every year or until I started to see a build up and then maybe do a good polish job on it. My wife would say no to the first payment though

-MANU what did you apply on your Edge?.. cause it sure looked like it was gleaming in person my friend, probably the best well maintained Edge out there IMHO.  Z  :thumb:

Sad to say, I have been lax and not really applied anything in some time.  Last time, it went through an auto car wash with a final coat of Simoniz wax.  Regularly maintained with natural rainwater since then, LOL.  I have some Collinite 845 that I think is about time I used on the Edge though, with winter coming!  Will try to coat the wheels, but getting them cleaned up without taking them offcar will take time.

I tried to quote Crystal Serum here in Denver, found only one certified dealer and they want $1,350 to do it plus  $300 to top it with EXO (CS Black). It looks good and all, but damn. I might just have to find someone who can do Opticoat Pro+ for a reasonable rate instead.

Zalvern, have you gotten a legit 0-60 time on your 3.0t? I'd love to know what it runs.  I'm at altitude so I haven't even bothered.
