exhaust theory

So long story short my wife was rear ended in my 2011 sho and it destroyed the exhaust. So after some looking around the factory exhaust cost as much as stainless works turbo back with cat. So I did what every rastional man would do -more power better sound-. Then it starts now I had to tune it -livernoise- . Now wouldn't you know it I've got that transmission issue where it drops out if gear so now I have to bring it in for warranty work now the stock tune has to go in. Let the problems come as many already know it leans out from the extra airflow and trips the check engine light. So now my crazy thought what do you guys think about  taking the tips off and having a reducer made down to 1.5" to create some back pressure to stop the computer from leaning out. This would be a temp. thing of course for warranty work and emissions so what do you think and or do you have a better idea

Sorry for the not so short story

What code are you getting? Do you have factory downpipes or did you replace with stainless works also?

Cat back exhaust doesn't generally trip a cel

IF you give us a little more details on your vehicle,we could further assist a fellow member more promptly, thank you.

If you have catless DPs, Livernois might have turned off the CEL caused by the rear O2 sensor(s).  Putting the stock tune back on would bring the CEL back on.

Can you pull the codes and post them?  Be interesting to know what the SHO thinks is happening.
