National Speed, Inc in Richmond, VA was kind enough to take some pictures of the Gearhead turbo's they received that will be installed on my car April 22nd. Shout out to Gearhead and Matt Robinson for awesome work.

Their shop foreman checked them out and said they are perfect. National Speed Inc, is going to warranty the turbos and labor too!

Outstanding deal! Can't get much better than that / this.

Gratz brutha.

This is what Matt Robinson has been able to get with these on the exact same setup as my car. He still has a bit of tweaking left, but the power is there.

Wow I’d say so. God I’m jealous. No doubt if these where out 7 months ago they would have gone in my car. I can’t wait to see your car done. It’s going to be an absolute beast!

I'm a tad bit jelly there SBS! Nice upgrades indeed and looks like an optimistic year for you and many fellow ecoboosters, especially with all these new Upgrades . Z  :)

A pair of those will be strapped to my car in the future.  Take it to the bank. 500 awhp here we come!

Ping Matt Robinson on the turbo costs, I am not sure what the finalized price is. I can tell you the install is $900 plus I am having them do some additional work such as drain/fill the PTU, install the EPP Catted DPs, and there are gaskets/orings/bolts etc that need to be added to the cost which is around $200 in total.  The out the door price is $3200 for everything listed here including the turbos.

That’s a pretty fair price to be honest. I got some insane quotes when I called around for mine. I’m talking upwards of $4500 for labor at some shops. My buddy who I did them with at his shop said easily $700-1000 for a customer car.

SBS what all is different with these turbos? Noticed the Ford stamping on them, are they OEM with different internals? Thanks and keep ripping!

Stock cores but 30% more flow on both sides of charger... Virtually no loss of response.

Here is the recommended replacement hardware parts list for the Gearhead turbos. You don’t HAVE to replace these... but highly recommended!! This was ordered through Tasca.

Just a note to anyone whom is doing future turbo r&r should get the MAHLE gasket kits.
P/N# GS33743 and GS33744.
left and right.

Comes with:

1x Turbo to manifold Gasket
1x Turbo to Down pipe Gasket
2x Aluminum Coolant line gaskets
1x Copper oil line inlet gasket
2x Rubber oil drain tube to block O-rings
1x Turbo to oil drain tube gasket
    -Per Kit
Price range Rock Auto to eBay is 27.99 to 32.99 per kit.

This is my second time using these kits. Oh and SBS, you require 2 turbo pipe O-rings per side. 4 total. Each drain tube has 2 where is slides into the block. Unless those are packs of 2 on your list.

I’m basing this off what Gearhead sent me.

If there is other stuff I need to order let me know....

I didn’t order any copper stuff since it wasn’t on the list.

Great info!  Also curious if the dyno info from Matt's SHO was with upgraded hot pipes or if he is still using the stock plastic piping?
