Thanks Robert!  I only got four runs in.  That took a couple hours.  Then my daughter got impatient.  She had a lot of people to visit while she was up here. But, it was worth the trip!

according to drag times the DA at great lakes drag way 993 @ 4:53pm
993, almost 1000 DA, not too bad, but at 0, it would have been 0.1 sec faster.
Then there is the wind that still is a mistery.
But just cooler temps or better DA = -0.1 second
Low fuel tank = -0.1 second
Better tires and H&R springs == -0.1 second
So, that car should be able to run a good 12.85 sec at close to 110 mph. Or 12.95 sec. without any other mods, just on a better day...
That's what is fun, when you'll reach the 12's you will be even happier, since it ain't that easy...

The fuel load and ambient temp was not ideal for you. I run with 1/8 tank or less and ran a 12.796 in my 2011 at 55 degrees and 12.809 with my 2013 at 60 degrees, both with the Livernois 4+ tune, only difference is downpipes on my 2013. So...............lose the weight, and get some temps in the 50's and I see 12.something in your future! I get my best launches between 2k and 2200, "advance-trac" off, and with the shift lever in "D", not in "S".

Thanks Chris!  I'll have to look that info up.  I was there between  about 1 and 3.  It was a few degrees warmer then.  Anything under 1000 isn't too bad is it?

LOL Yup!  I'll be happier.  There was about a 10 MPH tailwind.

Thanks!  I think I should get it in a few weeks.

@1 it was 1336 and @ 3 was 1135

Thanks Chris.  I really think in a few weeks, if it's like 50 out and a little drier with a DA way below 1000 and I run my tank down I should be able to pick up the .2  If I get the Xv1, even better!

From LMS on Xv1 today.

Our tune is still being refined at the current time.  We should be releasing it soon.  We appreciate your patience.

Better to be safe than have people having problems with the tune..

Yeah.  From what I can guess, it will deliver 15+ psi boost with the 3-Bar needed.  Critical AFR tweaking, and fan controls.  Plus, it will have to show a noticeable change over the 4+.  I can wait.  But I'm still hoping it'll be out in the next couple weeks.  2 or 3 tenths gain would be nice!

Just re-read Steve's post.  I did pretty much every thing on there.  My biggest problem I think was having over 3/4 tank of gas.

Hey Dave!
Sorry you didn't reach the 12's this weekend, but there is still hope. I didn't go to see the DA, but I presume it could be cooler and the wind a bit more cooperative right?
Also, the gas tank being 3/4 full, that is almost 0.1 sec just there.
The Eibach aren't the H&R... It is a good in between sport and comfort, but H&R do launch a bit firmer and maybe the aerodynamics play a bit at one point.
Finally, I have my questions regarding the K&N... I drove Bigpelo's car the other day. We couldn't get his car to get in the 12's neither and he has the K&N. It surely makes more noise (which I prefer over the Airaid that is much quieter). However, for a reason that I can't explain, I felt his car was sluggish... But I didn't compare apples with apples since my ride has H&R,  exhaust, downpipes and methanol in addition to the tune only that he has along with his K&N...
Could it be possible that the K&N is just a noise maker, but actually not optimal?
Lastly, what are your tires? If you have 4 seasons or F1, for sure they are not good for drag racing.
Good luck for next time!

My car was VERY sluggish from a stop, and hell almost all the time.  Once I fixed the knock sensor that is causing problems, my car is waaay faster now!  That could be the problem described here.  I have the K&N intake and people were blaming that for my sluggishness, but once I finally pulled that sensor away from the block, my problems were fixed.

I really want to hit up GLD, but more-so with my G8 before the SHO.  I haven't been there in years!

Thanks Nails.

Does anyone have a picture showing the knock sensor and where the wires touch the manifold?  On my last run Sunday, I thought the nanny was kicking in.  Near the top of first gear I suffered a major loss of power.  I wonder if this could be the cause.  The other runs were fine and it's been running fine since but I'd like to check it out.  Thanks!

Sorry for the lack of response, I've been gone until now.  Let me know if that does help fix your issue, too.  My SHO is still playing nicely and I appreciate how she drives a lot more now.  I even used to gripe with how the trans shifted, but it's quite a bit better now.
