Group buy for Hot Pipes for SHO/Flex

Just wondering on the progress of the pipes.
I am told the pipes will be shipped Dec 29th to me, I will get the BoV mounts welded on then powdercoated as quickly as possible. Unfortunately there's about 3 weeks of holidays during this hold deal that has massively delayed the pipe bender I'm working with.
Everything should ship by the 15th as of right now, hopefully earlier but 15th would be the latest I can forsee.

I am wondering if there is enough space/adjustment with the pipe/silicone connectors from the intercooler to the throttle body to install a spacer plate behind the throttle body for my Methanol nozzle. Most of the ones I see are about 19mm thick. Just food for thought, don't want to drill my new pipe if I don't half to.

TimmyATL best of my knowledge it looks like there might be some flexibility in adding the spacer as you mentioned above, personally added a 3" HPS 3"long coupler and 4"hose by the CAC,pic's below,BTW would confirm with Mike.B from EPP because he surely is da man.  Z

Any update on if shipped to you on 29th as planned, and on track per latest post? Thx!

They did not but will ship Tuesday per the supplier, I can still make the 15th deadline easily.

Pipes are shipping today from California to AZ, I can get the BoV welded on within the next 7 days and then coated. Still on track for a 15th shipment day.

What do you think is the MTF for the silicon connectors?
Hmm I don't know that but I would imagine many years :)
That being said the great thing is with the hot pipes it's as easy as replacing the hose instead of the whole pipe like factory pieces.
I am currently looking at making the IC to TB and front turbo to IC pipes into silicone entirely instead of metal and silicone. Much easier to install and it costs me the same as an a pipe, two hoses and 4 clamps for a silicone hose and 2 clamps.
Long term I'll be looking at replacing the front turbo to top pipe with silicone as well, leaving just the one metal pipe with the dual BoV adapters from rear turbo to middle pipe.
This will probably be another year in the making, nothing immediately.

Thanks Mike - is this discussion/modification around the problems with the soft parts of this hard pipes setup that "some" are talking about - the new rigid pipes are causing extra stress on the soft parts, and causing them to wear out prematurely in some cases?  I've heard this around a little with regards to this mod we're doing, and wondering if the changes you're talking about making are to better guard against that going forward?  What are your thoughts and experiences with this if you don't mind sharing and elaborating as far as what you know, and thank you very much for your input and continued efforts to get the most and the best out of this platform for us.

I've not had any wear issues that I'm aware of with the hot pipes we produce.
The soft parts on the factory pipes are rubber and on my car and others they developed tears causing boost leaks.

I didn't mean to hijack the thread... My question was rhetorical, but as FYI, I have had Mike's Hotpipes and Downpipes on my SHO since Nov of '13 and no problems or signs of wear. The hump-hose connectors made of high quality silicon are likely the key. My only consideration currently is about changing mt SS T-clamps to spring loaded ones, especially at the turbos, to allow for expansion of the hardpipes with heat and minimize normal wear or connector damage from same.
