Didn't think you were being dismissive :)  I think your comments are very much in line with what people should expect from lowered rides.  There is no mod that is purely advantageous, always caveats that need attention paid to.
Yes.  I will say that the SHO with H&R rides better than any other lowered car I have been in.  Just might be too much for me still.  I am letting it stay for now though.  Hard to give-up how good it looks right now, makes me smile when I see it!
I agree with lamrith 100%.
Looks fantastic but NE Ohio roads are terrible and it’s not a pleasant combo.
I’m seriously considering putting the stock springs back on.

I liked the ride quality and handling of the H&R springs until I changed the shocks and struts to the PP setup. Now the ride is WAY too harsh and rough roads are jarring.
If it's time for new struts and shocks, go with the non PP setup for a much better ride with no loss of handling capability.

The new PP setup you installed, does it ride harder all the time every little bump, or just bigger hits?

Did the non PP setup let the car move to point you felt the springs or bumpstops limiting travel?  That is the part of the ride I am having issue with on my install.  The basic rough road surfaces, cracks, and little bumps I do not have any issue with, just the bigger dips and pumps.  dropping off a speed bump for example there is a hard bottom to the suspension travel where you can feel that it just does not have any more range of motion, it is at max travel.

The PP setup rides harder all the time. The non PP setup was firm but the PP setup is harsh.

The non PP setup never hit the bumpstops, and the PP setup doesn't either but the PP feels like it on big dips like potholes.

I think the type of tires play a significant role on exactly how the car reacts and feels!
I have also installed many new suspension components such as Struts-Strut mounts-Shocks -Sway bar end links -Wheel hubs and axle shafts-thrust washers-all @ roughly 64K  Z

Most definitely, as well as pressure they are run at.

Got yourself a new car!  It sure looks it with the way you maintain it!

I like the way mine rides, right up until the point the suspension maxes out and it has that hard bottom point to it.  Just taking my time and evaluating.
I am honestly considering pulling a few mods back, mostly because after December I will have a dedicated streetcar project to get my firm ride, high HP, hammering thru the corners fix with.  Dial back the SHO a bit to more of a comfy DD.

Thanks Bud! The SHO is here for the long haul! I got to much money invested!  :)  I tend so spend to much time on the SHO and the very reason the wife hates me! Lol.  BTW still have the Conti- DW Summer tires which provide an overall better ride IMO!  Z  :drive:

Yeah I had conti summers on my STSV, loved those tires.
Once these Motivo's wear out (wish they would hurry up, I am not a fan) I am not sure what I am going to do, other than I know I am going 275/40-20 on all 4 corners.  Pretty sure I will go with the Firestone Indy 500's unless something else comes around on super sale.

Thanks to everyone in this thread for the incredible information!  You guys are excellent!

I've accepted the challenge and I'm installing my H & R springs (and cam bolts) on my 15 non-PP, this Saturday.  VERY much looking forward to how this turns out.  I'll post back here with the results.

You'll love the looks and the ride.

You will definitely like the looks.

Ride is very subjective, here in WA for my daily driver and the local roads it just did not work and I pulled my H&R's out 2 weeks ago to return to stock.  Scraping belly on speedbumps (they are everywhere here) and feeling suspension bottom out constantly just got old for a daily driver.

Make sure to get your alignment done after a few hundred miles to let them settle in.  The car will handle twitchy and odd until you do, but you need to let it settle in so just bear with it for a bit.

Any of you guys have the H&R's through a winter? Im on the fence about doing them before the New England winter here. I may wait until spring.

I had them through 3/4 of one winter before I stopped driving the car in the winter.  It was completely fine.

Yup. Had them on for 5 winter seasons here in Chicago, including record snowfall events, as well as extreme cold temps, and they performed flawlessly.

I no longer daily drive my SHO either, and I have since upgraded to the Megan Racing coil overs.

But the H&R's were great given they were only springs.

I loved providing snow plow services for free, where ever I drove. Haha

FYI- For anyone looking for the rear Camber bolts, found a sweet deal. Z  :)

Specialty Products Company
Specialty Products 84130 FORD/LINCOLN REAR CAMBER ADJ

$21.78 - pair

FYI - that is one bolt, not the pair.  for some reason they do not sell the new correct rear bolt in pairs.  I bought that part number from amazon and had to buy qty:2.  Notes say 1 kit per wheel.

Jezz bdp you don’t mess around even the tsw’s on in the winter lol. I used to plow snow with my TL-S so I’m rather used it. I just didn’t want it to be to low where the ground clearance was **** and I couldn’t ge through anything.

Lamrith I got your pm I’ll not ignoring you I’m just in the middle of swapping my turbos at the moment.

I've only ran into a couple "issues" with being lowered so far. With 7-800+ lbs of people/crap in the car, the rear tires will rub on a good bump, but I have some 295s in back, so not unexpected. Other than that, be careful on big dips, (I've only had 1 place around where it was an issue so far, and it's a REALLY bad parking lot. (Rite Aid....going the way of AMES and SEARS...) I have found that hitting speed bumps at an angle keeps me from bottoming out as well...of course that may not always be an option for you.

Other than that...getting the car up in the air enough to get my fat azz  under it is one hell of a Jenga game, lol

No worries man!  I am still waiting to schedule and get in for alignment before I let them go anyway!
