Happy customer

I just wanted to write a quick note about tuning my SHO. Nothing against any of the other tune vendors, at all, but I chose AJPTurbo. I couldn't be happier with his service and results. He takes the time to explain what he's doing and why, which really helps me with the learning process. So, for what it's worth, if you're on the fence like I was, you won't be disappointed with AJP

I whole heartedly agree, and he is the only vendor that adds the logic to hold gear in SST mode, that I know off. That alone makes his tunes amazing.

He has given me an extreme amount of guidance, compared to what would be expected, and is super knowledgeable. He also answers all of my questions, little or big, and gives factual evidence to support his answers.

And, well, the results of my Dyno run and track times speak for themselves. We picked up over a full second in the 1/4 mile on 93 octane, and since then with a few more mods and tune revisions (including switch to E20) my car makes more AWHP and much more AWTQ than stock at the flywheel.

Should we re-title this the "AJP Nut-Huggers thread!" ? JK i had to do it. and Yes Brad is the beez-neez for tuning in this platform.

Oh you don't even know . . I was blessed with the hyper-Germanic last name NUTZ. Yes, literally. It's pronounced Nootz not that anyone would guess that LOL. Guess i'll name my first son Harry?

How did we go from "Happy Customer" to the obsession with "nuts" is beyond me,lol. but most importanly glad the OP was satisfied with his service & support he received from AJP-Turbo and enjoy the perm-grin factor once uploading your tunes, enjoy. Z

100% agree! And congratulations! I've been AJP tuned and still enjoy it! Favorite tuner for all the reasons you mentioned. Enjoy!

I hear a lot of good things, I am interested in reliability and 0 to 60 times.  Also a travel tune.
Many many revisions ago I ran 12.68 with nothing but a tune on a 100 degree day with IAT2's over 170 so I was minus a bunch of spark advance due to temp compensations.

No bolt ons, just some corn, 3bar sensor, and AJP's awesome tune.

I think my calculator had my 0-60 at 4.1 ish?

Do it, you will not regret it.

AJPtuned without any corn... 0-60 in 4.1 - 4.2 verified via datalog... all day long...

That was spinning quite a bit in first... i expect better at the track with a treated surface.

Working through a corn tune now... perhaps even faster times ahead... issue I think is going to be traction. Never thought I get to that point...

100% agree with FoMoCoSHO... you won't regret it.

Yeah, I think you are right as I've been experiencing power cuts in sport mode due to wheelspin.

I know OP is interested in 0-60 but one of the most impressive aspects of my car is how hard it pulls above 80 now. Torque steer at 80 is a wondrous thing as long as you're paying attention.

I used an excel calculator to calc my 0-60.

I did a calculation based on datalog a while back on a cold weather WOT pull and got 4.3 or so 0-60 on my E20 AJP tune IIRC.

The torque steer is quite a fun/scary thing (fun for me, scary for passangers that don't expect it). I can consistently torque steer the car if I smack the gas at ~50-60 mph. Pulling above 80mph is also pretty dang fun.

I understand why Ford leaves them in stock trim from the dealer, if not, there would be a lot more in the junkyard from people who shouldn't be driving a car like a tuned SHO :D

I think people forget about the torque of these motors...420-450ft lbs at the wheels....thats big block torque of yesteryear in a reliable relatively fuel efficient and practical package....better low end torque than a big block also....maybe only out performed by the off idle reaponse of the big block...but at 1800rpm the tides change

A mid size V6 with twin turbos has the potential to move some air
