Headlight going out

So I noticed my driver's side headlight was out tonight.  Turned the lights off and back on and the light was working, but I've got to assume it's on the way out.  Anyone have any tips how to remove the bulb?  It's a D3S HID.  It looks like I can get to the bulb through the hood, but I really don't want to lose any screws or screw up in the process by taking shortcuts.  Do I really have to remove the bumper to do this?  It's a 2010 MKS.

The FSM would have you remove the bumper cover to do this, don't know if it's viable otherwise.

I think on the driver's side, by removing the factory filter box or if you have an MDesign you could do it, but would be tight. On the passenger side I believe Manu is absolutely correct.  The question does arise as to whether you should do both if you do the one.

Kind of what I figured.  If I'm removing the bumper, I'm doing both at the same time and just getting it over with.  With my luck, I'll put everything back together and a week later the passenger side will go out too.

I ordered these.  They look pretty good.  Nice little 15% off sale going on now on top of the already marked down sale price with free shipping.  Got both out the door for about $150.
