Hey guys!!!! I'm Simon and I'm from quebec, canada. I just bought a 2010 Taurus SHO , needed something I could use in the deep snow we get here and also have fun during summer while being comfy listening to siriusXM..

My previous car was a 2000 C5 Corvette, couple mods... Heads and cam, big stall , exhaust/bolt-on. Ran 11.7 on the 1/4 mile with the stock transmission slipping in all gears. Had to sell it , needed something bigger and more daily driver.

Here are pictures of my new baby the day I got it :

Had to test it at the track..Ran a 13.7 100% stock. Now has a tune from one of the tuner here and ran 13.073 :)
I also ordered 3 bar sensor and lowering H&R Springs.
I bought some plastidip to get rid of the chrome grille and the peeling chrome around the tail lights.

Only thing I don't like about the car is I have a couple ( like 5-6 ) spots of rust ( bubbles ) on the top of the car near the windshield. I did not see that when I went to buy it at the dealership and I was way too excited to notice anything wrong with it.

Except for the rust the car is a beast. Can't wait to try the AWD system in the snow. Hope it works well!

Welcome, Simon, glad to have ya & the '10 SHO here with us!  Great mods already, hope you crack the 12's soon :thumb: Hopefully the rust is very shallow, and can be taken out with a bit of steel wool and then covered with a paint chip kit like Dr ColorChip or something similar.

Welcome aboard the E.B.P.F partner, great looking ride you have there, hopefully you can take aim at the rust issue and move on to some good dedicated all season tires like the Conti dws which are pretty good in the snow, woudnt recommend using the Eagle f1's in the winter and any questions you may have always feel free to ask .  Z  :WELCOME: :WELCOME:

I already have a set of Pirelli Scorpion tires for winter. Its against the law down here to use 4 seasons tires in winter. Absolutely need the snowflake sign on the tire. Good thing since we get a lot of snow/ice and temps go down to -30 pretty often

Welcome to the forum and congratulations on the purchase!

Those are great times stock and tuned.  13.0 is a very respectable time for a car with just a tune for sure.  I not a psychic, but believe I see some high 12s coming in your near future.  ;-) HAHA  I personally would suggest a nice set of winter tires if you have not already.  It makes a world of difference on these cars with out a doubt!

I can definitely vouch for these cars being awesome in the snow.  We had some significant snow falls here in MI last winter and our SHO PP with the Blizzak winter tires on factory 20s handled like a dream.  Ran the current 3 Bar - thermostat tune and the car was a tank to and from work, no matter what the weather was like.  Contrary to what many guys believe, even in temps well below -10 F the heat was kicking in that thing as well.

Very nice choice of vehicle for sure.  You will be loving life this winter watching all the RWD guys spin out.  Let us know if there is anything we can help you with!

Salut Simon! If you ever go to Napierville dragway, let me know and I will join you. Glad to see another Quebecker around here!

Thanks a lot guys.

My 3 bar is on the way home, Ill receive it this week and go try the car one last time this year on saturday.

Happy to hear those cars are good in the snow!

And yes BigPelo I will tell you if I ever go to napierville! I generally go to iCar tho!

I also went back to the dragstrip. With nothing changed I went 12.95 @ 105. That thing is getting quicker!
