How much horsepower will the stock fuel system support?

Where does the stock Ecoboost Flex/ SHO fuel system max out?
What about with 100% methanol?

Trying to do a little mod planning.

Isn't Mike's SHO still on the stock fuel system (with 100% methanol of course), Chris?

Yes Manu, that is correct.

Other than the addition of 100% Methanol, my fueling system is completely bone stock.

Factoring in the 23% AWD Drivetrain loss, I am at 800hp (on highest tune file).

The stock system is much more stout than has been lead on by others previously.

I don't know much about meth/methanol but when I run 18-20 psi below 3000 RPM fuel pressure drops to unsafe levels. I will only lean out slightly but having fuel pressure at 500 psi is not stable for direct injection and probably unsafe.

So I only run 15-16 psi below 3000 RPM then above that I'll run 18-20 and fuel pressure stays above 1000 psi. It should be targeting at least 2000 psi fuel pressure so that goes to show how bad it drops off. Even if your AFR's are ok it still shows an inadequate fuel system. Fuel pressure is really important especially in direct injection. A lack of fuel pressure can lead to inconsistent fuel spray.

I think the high pressure pump produces more flow with increased RPM. I've ran up to about 24 PSI at about 5000 RPM I didn't lean out but fuel pressure was scary low.

I must have missed it... What kind of turbos do you have on your 3.5 TT GDI?

That is correct.

My fuel issues are on the 2-3 WOT upshift and the 3-2 WOT downshift

A couple of times I got a +7KR and shutdown.

I've down blended my mix to 15% and all is happy now.

Can't wait for some meth.
