How much miles do you have on your vehicle?

Just wanted to see how much miles you guys have put on your cars since you've had them. Any problems or complaints? Any memorable things you did in the span of those miles? Just curious, because it's interesting to see what stories you guys have. :)

Bought it in June 2013 with 35,000 and now it has just over 54,000. I had the cup holder lid next to the shifter, drivers seat bottom cover replaced and the tail lights twice.  Just did the license plate light recall. Other than that just normal maintenance (LOF, trans service, rear diff), EBC front brakes, tires, tune, Tstat, plugs and lots of detailing.

It really depends what year SHO you have, some issues vary by year, and again welcome.

Bought new Sept '13.  17K miles. May have a hub going...but warranty is good for 7 yrs and only one time noticed it without DTC/CEL... other than than just routine maintenance, modding. and obsessive detailing.... Do you have an EB vehicle? ...or just testing the water/shopping?  I love my SHO!

Bought 9 months ago...15 k on it since for a total of 43k...can't stop driving it.

Troubles - Spring popped out of interior handle drivers door, puddle light drivers side just went out, cold side piping that attaches to front turbo ripped more than half way around where it connects to turbo, wife now wants to drive us everywhere, find myself having facial pains do to the amount of perma-grin caused by the skinny pedal. Seems we have been pulled over a few times to just simply talk about the car...hehe

Positives - to many to list

'10 bought new6/6/10. now 24k & pretty much on hold. did so many mods decided to start showing her at car shows. she's 1 of less than 100 made that year white w/ 2 tone interior & nav delete. first ford shows now have expanded to open shows. miss driving her daily but a parking lot wreck last may freaked me out. just bumper no real damage & actually new bumper fit better than original. main issue i had was a tranny problem that got worst after dealer did prescribed TSB. eventual both tranny sensors replaced & no incident since.  like bigmac love my sho & fact ford did such a lousy job of promoting them & we have a very special car.

Bought a 13 with PP mid November  2013. Was a CPO with 8800 miles on the odo. Now has 17K miles. I try to limit mileage as much as possible and don't drive it but for trips and weekend datenights.

No significant experiences thus far really. Tuned it, swapped in plugs and the 170 tstat and swapped the bypass valves to VTA, changed the oil once and getting ready to do it again.

No problems to speak of. Never visited a Ford house.

Wow glad to see your stories and experiences on your cars. I can agree on the problems vary by year. I bought mine on December 9th, 2009 and I have to say I've loved the car every mile I've had it, it has 89k miles and I've taken it in once for when the battery died, and probably in a week for the transmission slipping throughout gears 2-4 and then the odometer led cluster for missing a digit where in the case of me filling the gas to full it says I have 40 miles not 400 miles, but that problem comes and goes every once and awhile. But other than that just oil changes and such.

I think the Taurus is one special car indeed! I've had the same problem with the trans I did the TSB, but my trans has since gotten worse, and now I'm going to take it in next week to get it replaced, so far thought other than the trans no problem since, and I'm starting to brew ideas for mods for my car to make it stand out from others in the DFW area, I am also going to be putting my car in to the Dallas Cars and Coffee next month so it should be fun. What events do you enter your car into?

Jared when you take it in try to get the PTU serviced (cleaned and new fluid).  Despite Ford saying lifetime lubrication... Many also do rear end fluid changes... both every 15-25K.

Ok thanks for the advice, I will do that, just can't wait to have my trans fixed. Again thanks for the advice. I do have a sho, and I'm the same with detailing, I love it so much, I'm doing my winter detail tomorrow so I will post pics when I'm done.

I've got a 14 Sport I bought brand new with like 2 miles on it last August. I've already got just under 30k on it, (like 29800). I did have the instrument panel replaced within a week of purchasing the vehicle because both lcd screens would go completely out. Had to have dealer replace and fix a front wheel well area where they had bent the frame from a jack stand. I have had the second row driver side seat belt replaced twice, once was because the latch broke second time they had to replace entire belt and latch. Had second row passenger side inflatable seat belt completely replaced as well, it actually caused my entire air bag system to disable for whatever reason. They said something about a piece being broken up inside the molding (how does that even happen?) Overall I am very pleased with my vehicle and the overall quality. I had a 12 Edge sport that I never had a single issue with (although I only had it for 2 years) and a 13 Limited Explorer that the front A pillar molding blew off on the interstate and the fuel line recall. So far pretty pleased with the Explorer Sport. Also of note, i did just switch to Pennzoil Platinum Pure Plus on my last oil change

I bought mine CPO in Feb of 2013 (Build date of Feb 2012).  It had 9000 miles on it then.  I'm now sitting just below 35,000.  Have gone through all 3 recalls (just the half-shaft check, not repaired).  The only things I've had to do besides oil changes and fluids at 30k is replacing the tires at 21k, having the windshield replaced, and getting a new battery.  For the tires, the car is equipped with the PP but when I got it it had the MXV4's on it instead of the summer tires.  So I don't know 100% where those came and how much tread was left but they were getting low on depth when I replaced them.  Had the windshield replaced shortly after I got it due to there being a manufacturing defect right where the driver looks out at.  Like some little bubble and it bugged the hell out of me.  And lastly had the battery go ka-puts at 31k.  No idea why.  Car barely started going to and from work, took it to the dealer after work and they had to jump start it in the quick lane bay.  Tested it and it failed so they replaced it.  All this work for me has been done under warranty so I haven't had to pay for anything yet.  All in all, I've loved driving the car every day I've had it and wouldn't give it up for much of anything. :)

Wow, this topic really took off, I wasn't expecting this amount of traffic. Thank you all for commenting on this, I'm in disbelief so far, all these stories are different in their own way.

I've never heard of screen troubles in the explorer, that's interesting and I need to look out for that problem in my moms explorer. I've loved her explorer, I've had a chance to get some seat time in her truck and her truck has had the windshield whistling problem others have reported, but the part hasn't came in yet for the fix. Forewarning if your explorer has the windshield whistling problem expect a month or two for the part to come in, I've been waiting a month. Thanks again for commenting 😄

first off thanks for commenting it means a lot 😃. Second off my battery went about the same time yours did, around 30k or so. I had the warranty until 50k until I started paying off the car, so I had to buy the extra warranty. I've loved my car and I'm so happy I am paying to own now. 😄 thanks again

Here's what took a lot of effort at my dealer to get done but stopped the tranny problem that sounds exactly like mine. mine never threw a code even with me making it happen & tech onboard & plugged into OPD.
orginally serv writer gave me one of those may have to live with speeches, that i refused & told them & had a letter all written that car was unsafe with that happening. i was going around a corner & a guy following me really close almost rear ended me. if they give you trouble pm me & i'll send you my vin so your dealer can look up my file.

Turbine Shaft Speed (TSS) Sensor

This Turbine Shaft Speed (TSS) sensor is a Hall-effect pickup that sends a signal to the PCM that indicates transaxle turbine shaft input speed. The TSS sensor provides converter turbine speed information for TCC strategy. Also used in determining static LPC pressure settings.

Output Shaft Speed (OSS) Sensor

The Output Shaft Speed (OSS) sensor is a Hall-effect pickup, located on the transfer shaft drive gear, that sends a signal to the PCM to indicate transmission output speed. The OSS is used for TCC control and shift scheduling.

I have a '12 SHO w/pp that I bought in Sept 2011, has been tuned since March 12. JUST turned over to 50k, the only non-self induced issue (I hit a raccoon and did 1k damage to passenger side bumper) is replacement of tail lights due to peeling. This car has truly been trouble free, as honestly have been most of my recent Ford products since the mid 90's. That includes 2x explorers, 2x expeditions, 1x edge, 1x escape, 1x F-150, 1x SHO and 1x Explorer Sport - yeah the wife likes to buy cars. I only got the F-150 and the SHO :)

Bought my 10' Sho back on March this year with 51k miles.  In just about to roll over 65k. All highway miles using WOT At almost every on ramp. Only problem is once a week the car will do that neutral drop at random stop signs.  Ford refuses to do the TSB until it happens when a mechanic drives it.

Thanks Mike for commenting, I may have you do that, because some service guys like to tell you the typical," everything's fine, didn't feel a thing." I will get back to you on that and that was very nice of you to offer me the vin just in case. Never had somebody do that for me before. That's why I love the EB community. Thanks again and thanks for going in to detail just for my problems.
