HPFP upgrade

Found a used one for $50 that I'm going to try and buy from a junkyard this morning. I found there are two in MI. Maybe they are close to one of you MI people? We need to get at least one pump to Autotech and if anyone knows of another company that might be able to get a pump made and developed?

Where are the ones in MI?

They have two. One from an MKS and one from an SHO. Looks like they are pretty close to Detroit, MI. For $100 bucks we can get two pumps and send them off. I'm in contact with CP-E as well as Autotech. Both have sourced pump upgrades for the Mazdaspeed6 community. Autotech is on-board, but I am also trying to get CP-E on board for the pump. They are busy with other vehicles, but they might have time for research on the pump though, since it doesn't require them to hold on to a customer vehicle.

Jist down the street from me I will see if I cam swing by there today but might not be able to get there before they close

So CP-E is already working on the pumps for the F150 and Focus. They said the options they've looked at are not very economical, but that's progress nonetheless. I still think if we can get a pump to Autotech it would be helpful to have more than one vendor looking into it. Whoever ends up buying anything I'll paypal you some cash to help pay for it. If you can buy both pumps they have on hand, so if we find a second vendor we can hopefully get them looking into as well!

You can send the pump to the below address:

Autotech Sport Tuning
29 Journey
Aliso Viejo, CA 92656
USA

You may just want to print out a copy of this email along with your contact information and send along with the part.

Thanks for the email!

-Autotech Sales Staff
949-362-8700
800-553-1055

They said to include the above information in a print out so that they route the pump to the correct place.

Definitely send one to Autotech. CP-E doesn't need one as they are already working on F-150 and Focus ST. We need to find one more vendor to agree to look into upgrading, so I would just hold on to the second one or just buy the one for for now and we can always buy more later if more vendors want to step up.

Yeah...don't know why I couldn't find this post yesterday...anyway...it's on it's way!

Woo hoo! Awesome! I'll let them know. PM me your paypal and I'll throw you some green!

Interested to see how this project proceeds.

Pretty cool stuff for sure and thanks to Darrell (on behalf of the entire Eco Community) for having picked this item up and then in turn, shipping it off for the necessary R&D work. :ok.

Good to see progress on this, hopefully someone comes up with something soon.  I do have a question about this though, when I'm logging the truck I never see the duty cycle go above .48 and if the pressure isn't dropping off during a WOT run how are we out of fuel?

I've said we're not out of fuel...at least some of us

I don't know what caused this thread to have such a weird formatting. I edited the posts from today to see if it was something there.
Found it!
Carry on!

Ive been down this road with the Mazda's, so here is something i suggest. Both Ford and BMW use the Bosch setup for DI. There is a company hanging out on the bimmer forums that have a new HPFP upgrade that should work for us, if not, slightly modified, will work for us. If i had the time right now, i'd just post the info, but its easily obtained by hitting some of the x35 forums around.

I think they can support up to 750hp now..
