I re-badged my trunk and engine

I re-badged my trunk and engine getting rid of anything that said "Ecoboost"..I've always hated that name and the leaves.  I don't know who at Ford decided on that name but he's an idiot.  "Eco"  yeah..14 MPG in city driving..real "Eco" friendly.

I used a hairdryer to loosen the badges, some bug and tar remover removed the adhesive that was left.  I used my Dremel to remove the SHO letters off of the Ecoboost badge and also to grind the Ecoboost name off of the engine cover.  I bought the new badges on Ebay.  The new badges had a 3M backing and stuck on nicely, I used 3m badge adhesive to put the SHO letters back on.  I plan on using chrome paint for the SHO on the engine cover as well.  The Taurus name will remain off the trunk as well.

I like it!! Mine is the same color. This past Saturday I debadged my trunk, took off the SHO/ecoboost badge and the taurus letters. I have to say this looks better than the original SHO/ecoboost badge. How did you paint the engine cover?

C'mon tell the truth, you paid a pro to do all this, right??? :D  Looks cool & classy.  Gotta say the underhood shot is money.

Looks great, very nice job!

We had a guy complaining about 14 mpgs in his SHO a couple weeks ago. After many requests to drive it without abusing the skinny pedal (instant fun pedal)...he pulled 22 mpg's on his normal route home. These eco's are very dependant on driving style for mpgs.

Funny you mention that, a few weeks ago my buddy and I went to the track. He has a Trailblazer SS with just a tune. I used 11L to get there it's just a tick over 100KM so my average was 11L per 100 KM which is 21MPG.
He averaged with his was 14MPG lol.

At the track he used 14L of fuel and I used 17L. And we did about the same amount of runs lol. So yea you use the skinny pedal and you are gonna pay for it!

I know the MPG is dependent on my foot and I get almost 29 MPG on the highway, in the city I get around 18-20 mpg and around 14 or 15 mpg if I'm showing off.  I will sacrifice MPG for performance any day, I'm just saying I hate the name "EcoBoost".  I mean other high performance car engines have mean or tough names, Boss 429/302, Coyote, Voodoo, Hemi, LS9,Tri-Power, ZL1..etc...and we have this:

^^ lol true. However it does lend to the sleeper persona that the SHO has. I like the pony btw :)
