launching the X

So when i launch my sport from a stop and i foot brake it then put the  gas on I can only get to 2k but its seems like it whats to go pass but then it stalls and i lost everything like no power then i have to start again. I can only launch at 2 RPM.

I have a '13 SHO.... But never encountered this....
My problem is keeping the rpm down about 2K due to my heavy foot!  No stalls, no hesitation here when launching from a revved stop with brake applied and have hit 3K+ while practicing..

Is the traction control off when you try...
I have done this type if launch around 2k without issues.

I get what you're saying. It's the same as if you are in neutral and put the gas pedal to the floor, the revs only go up to about 4,000 then hold there. When holding the brake pedal down and launching the revs won't go over 3K but as for stalling out ? ? ? I've never had that happen. That's something you might want to look into.

It goes into protection and cuts all power. Its because your front tires are spinning faster than the rears. Mine has done it a few times at the track

When I try to launch over 2500 my car will open the bov and dump all the air out of the system.
kinda sounds like this could be happening

Guess my next question would be I can't get pass 2 RPM but its just strange because when I foot brake and gas it it flys up so fast it seems like it would but the second it starts going pass i lose it and cuts me off and i have to start over and then you guys are getting pass 2 RPM why would that be? could it be something with  MYCALIBR8OR?

well you sho people I guess because no xsport have said yet.  You would think it would be similar to a sho or no?

Remember that optimum rpm drops with a tune in place.  Stock, 2500 rpm launches are a possibility; tuned, 2000 rpm launches are highly recommended.  That's just the way the torque curves play out, at least on the SHO.

Didn't know that

Its just strange to me because in my friends auto wrx when he would to the brake gas thing it would go up and then stop to were it would go anymore and then just say to where mine shuts me down and i have to start again so just wondering if thats just how it is with these car. This is my first Auto thats be worth launching so just trying to figure it out

Thanks for all the input so far though

I have done a few launches braking up to 2k rpm then gooooo... Only with TC off. With no issues.
I didn't notice any rpm limits either, but I was trying to stay at or under 2k...
The TC will shut you down if it don't like what your doing...

yes around 2K RPM launch are pretty damn good I agree

Is your friend's wrx stock or tuned?  That may be a good feature to implement in our cars as well, and probably could be done by the tuner.  May be a bit more complicated than on the wrx.  Isn't the wrx fulltime awd?

I played around with RPM on launches a lot at the strip, best times were achieved around 2K RPM, that was the sweet spot on my 2011 and 2013 SHO's.
