Livernois custom tune with upgraded turbos dyno results

Got my car back from Livernois over the weekend after getting a custom tune for the following modifications:

Upgraded turbos with Garrett GTX billet compressor wheels and Turbosmart wastegates
PPE catted downpipes
Corsa catback
EBPP intercooler pipes w/ Turbosmart BOV
Livernois/Alky meth kit
3 BAR map
Stock intake w/ K&N
SP534 plugs
170* thermostat

387 HP / 404 TQ

Update: talked to Andy and the final pull was actually 395 / 413.
Update #2: As we see on the sheets below the car made 443 TQ and not 413.

I'm not going to remove any original material but disregard the below paragraph since this is the TQ I was expecting to make and I simply received the wrong dyno sheet upon picking my car up.

I spoke to Dan before the tune and he mentioned with the setup the car is pretty much capable for whatever I want but suggested I keep it around 400 HP for longetivity. I agreed since this is my DD. I was expecting more TQ though -- it seems quite low. I don't think I would have had a second thought had a left with 400-415 HP and 430-440 TQ. Those numbers are similar to what another 2013 with the basically the same modifications was making.

I hooked up my Scan Gage last night and it looks like im seeing around 14 lbs in 1st and 2nd gear and it is steady at 16 lbs 3rd gear and on. The Scan Gage is not instantaneous so it's hard to get a good number in 1st and 2nd and quick as the gears change.

At this point the turbos seems like a waste but more power with less boost overall than running meth only is always good. I may look into further tuning in the future to make this setup more worthwhile. Applying the new V8 tune to the upgraded turbo application took them a month to get right so hopefully I can swing up and get more tuning done in just a day for more power now that all the initial tuning is complete.

I'll get around to scanning the dynosheet at some point.
Dyno sheets below in LMS posts

I'll be happy to loan you my iTSX so you can get a Torrie tune if you want with some remote tuning. This way you can try it, if you decide you want it I'll sell you the TSX. You'll only be out of pocket for the custom tune.

Numbers do seem off.  But how does it Driver. I'm sure it's much faster and all but. Actually Driver. Throttle response. Tip in. Shifting??  All that sort of stuff

Drives good. From a dig it feels slightly faster. 3rd gear and on it's hard to tell -- it's been 3 months since I have had the car.

I'll hit the track in a few weeks and that will prove it.

Yea it's low. It obviously has much more in it. I'd say our cars Geswerk were basically identical before what I did. I think we both ran 12.7 correct?

12.5 was my last 2 runs at season opener this year.

I just installed DP's; about to do plugs, stat, and 3-bar.

I'm 367/478 at wheels; before DP's and all other crap and that was on the LMS tune from last year when car first came out. I just recently upgraded to V8 but haven't tracked it or dyno it yet.

YE that low I have everything you have but the plugs and turbos  and I'm running 405HP/417TQ. and 12.3sec.

what are you using for tuning?

LMS; dyno was done with their first tune from last year when SHO came out.

I'm getting a new dyno in few weeks after I get my 3-bar, stat, and plugs; then I'll load up V8 3-bar; I didn't have downpipes last time and I do now (catted because of PA testing).

Sweet!... Talked to Dan last night.... making more HP with less boost... same power and less pressure/wear... You'll love it!

Are you still running a 2Bar MAP? this would explain your LOW PSI, which could account for a lot of missed power AND a total waste of $$ spent in turbos.

If that's the case, I can't believe LMS didn't talk to you about going to a 3Bar. Seems like they were geared too much towards longevity rather than pushing the power ...or they just wanted your money. ;)

As far as the scan gauge lag...are you connected via wifi rather than bluetooth, or just using an old scan tool?
Might be worth going with an OBD MX dongle as long as you have an android device that can talk to it. If you're set on using Apple products, you're stuck with WiFi...which has 1sec updates instead of real-time streaming...and sucks.

Ya, if you are seeing the 14/16 psi range, would be a good idea to go to a 3-bar MAP.  2-bar MAP officially handles 14.7 psi approx.  Easy enough upgrade as long as the tune is adjusted for it.

Sorry about that I was the one who handed you the dyno sheet I simply printed the wrong one.

Mike thanks for replying nice to see you on here. We advised him that under 400 was an area that we think is for someone that doesn't have to worry about problems. It was a mutual decision. Also see a graph from his car that we don't feel comfortable with. Its not a matter of not knowing how to ad power its that "we" (the customer and Livernois) decided that this was what we wanted to do. These turbos really are nice, the back pressure was significantly lower and this achieved the power level with much less boost than other cars. The end product is a package that will provide good drive-ability, and longevity in the engine.

Attached is the dyno graph of Steves car but this did not leave our shop like this. If he wants this we can do it but not advised

The ATP turbos are fantastic! I would think since you have other customers, BPD, Steve and others with upgraded turbos making considerably more power on their dailies you could do his as well.
Is it the 2013 year difference aka lack of fuel or something else that has shifted your safety point down from 440ish to 400?
I'm working with Steve now on the fuel system and other items to get some more umph out of it. I completely disagree with LMS feelings on the 450+ HP barrier but then again I'm the only one who's been there besides the truck with upgraded turbos and fuel system I worked with. He's still running fine as well. ATP's truck is still running great also from my understanding. The empirical evidence seems to point to the fact that 450+ so far isn't an issue, detonation is for sure. There has been some rod failures but when you produce this many engines you will have a percentage of "bad" rods from the factory no matter what you do, byproduct of mass production. Those rods are failing at stock or near stock HP levels.

Time will tell as more people buy these vehicles and do more to them. I hope for everyone's sake 450HP isn't the wall for reliability.
