I had to fix my bumper because some jerk at home depot backed into me.
They pulled the car in and out of one of the stalls while the bumper was off.
Upon return, the car's AIT/OAT gauge/sensor read -40F.
I had to clear the several fault codes(will post all the codes when my phone is back on).
At the same time, I reset to factory and put the 2 bar back in place of the 3 bar.
Regretfully I didn't turn the car on after clearing faults but before reseting to factory.
the IAT/OAT gauge/sensor read 98 degrees.
The issue was that the sensor being disconnected caused the ecu to read lower OAT than intake temp.
The problem with this was the ECU never reset that value and therefore kept that and wouldn't update.
Possible voltage lockout to prevent a fuse blowing because of overvoltage?
Odd issue, maybe not your fault but easy to replicate:
Unplug the main harness disconnect from the lower front bumper, turn the car on, reverse forward, park, off, 2-3 times.
Reconnect the connector and turn the car on.
Do this with the tune and with factory settings.
I would like to do this but I already fixed my problem and i'm am recently married with a full time job, kids, and 10+ credit hour courses at college lol. I hope this is not a LMS issue but a Lincoln issue.
