LMS tune updates

Not more boost but ability for the ecu to read the higher levels..

right but for what benefit, no one knows ! I don't know how or why you would but what if you get 16 PSI with 2 bar ? nothing ? or its safer with the 3bar ?

this torque demand has me annoyed. If the engine is capable of making more power by adding parts and tune, mmeth etc.. then why doesn't the torque demand also throttle back the power then to what ever it believes it should be with those parts not only colder air ? Or is that because those don't add boost and colder air can ?

It's in having the tune that will do it by both command lines and modifying the torque tables... I noticed your signature, if your still at "stage 3" I'd recommend moving up to 4+ or the new versions (free to you as an LMS customer)... further custom mods like Dave's can also be done.
I'm still learning.... I grew up without fuel injection at all wrenching points and having to have 2 distributors to advance timing.... Anyway, improve your tune and study the EB technology... It's what I am doing.

I just installed the 93 V7 3Bar yesterday, car seems to be running nicely.  I have a 1/8 mile racing event next Sunday that I will be able to compare performance from the 93 V6 2bar.  I was running 8.20's end of last year similar temperature so we'll see how it compares.

Looking forward to those results.

I'll be very interested in your results…. a 3Bar MAP is on my short list for performance mods… Please keep us advised.  TIA

Giggity, just got clearance from the ole lady that we don't have anything going on tonight, so we're going to go make a few passes down the 1/8th and see how it does!  I'll let y'all know how it compares.

We. Lol!
If I asked my old lady to come make some passes in the SHO, I can only imagine the look I'd get.

Yeah she enjoys watching me take down some muscle cars.  I was kind of surprised myself since she's 36 weeks preggo, said she's feeling good and we haven't been since last fall.

arrrrr OK I'll go update my tuner for my 3bar now :) I wont have track times, but if there's no increase in seat of the pants performance then I'll beleive it really doesn't do much. Now where doe the 3bar MAP go ??!?

sweet thanks guys !

I might take a break and go swap it in real quick. My tuner is updated might load her up too.

hey the sensors look identical. Is that normal !? I want to be sure I'm sticking in a 3 bar MAP for the 3 bar tune before I load the 3bar tune. If my new MAP is wrong (not a 3bar) I'd be screwed with no 2bar tune to load !

Seems like the only logical place to mention this...

I keep seeing alot of people turning to meth/water meth injection. But, that is just a work-around of sorts, IMO. It is alot of expense and alot of mess to deal with. Not to mention, if you don't include some type of failsafe, potentially hazardous.

Is there data out there, from trial and error on this platform, which suggests the limitations of each component of the fueling system?

I really think the best way to make good, affordable and reliable power anymore is with ethanol blended gasoline, delivered through the OE (albeit, modified (if necessary)) fueling system.

Just need to make upgrades where it is necessary, to support the required additional fuel volume.

And ETOH acts similarly to meth/water meth in that is has a substantial cooling effect. It isn't the octane enhancement which makes the improvement.

cross your fingers for larger direct injection fuel injectors to be released this year and then that they might be large enough to support an E85 tune ! that's what I'm hoping for.

Back-to-back runs. New personal best, previous was an 8.21. Since it was an impromptu night at the track I had over a quarter tank of fuel versus my normal 1/8th of a tank. Very pleased!
