LONGEVITY OF OEM PADS&ROTORS

I was curious to know how many miles everyone is getting with the original pads and rotors, had the front rotors and pads changed under warranty, only had to pay 50.00 for the pads due to an annoying squeak, now at just hitting 24k on her noticed having a hard time slowing down, mostly at high speeds, checked the rear rotors and found some uneven grooves on the rotors, find it quite upsetting considering over 4k was on unlimited long trips, the front where changed at 23k and now its the rears, called service advisor and said to bring her in tommorrow.Z

Uneven grooves?

They both look pretty normal. The friction materials "bed" with one another. The grooves may appear to be pretty random. Why are they uneven?

The only situation where an issue can arise is new pads on an existing rotor, without turning or replacing.

But looks like the dealer replaced both, correct?

I would HIGHLY suggest swapping out pads and rotors to the Stoptech setup, HUGE HUGE HUGE difference with stopping and brake fade on my Flex.

How does the OE Flex system compare to that of OE 13 plus SHO?

Thanks for the replies guys, the two pics are from my current rear brakes, when touching the rotors they felt very uneven.Z

47k on my Stock fronts.... though to be honest I should have replaced after my last road course in TX about 35K, I cracked (due to wear and heat) the inside pads and Minnesota winter finished it off.  I have Raced my car since I have owed once a year at the Nation SHO Convention.  To be honest I super heated my breaks a lot.... I also tend to be an aggressive driver at time but probably not as most. Car was build for the twistys.... and its fun to drive pushing the limit.
The rotors I could have reused but ... I wanted all new stuff for this year for this convention.

My dealer said brakes are covered for 12k miles than that's it.  How many miles are you at now?
I actually had the front set performed at 23k a few weeks ago,and today had the rears done at just hitting 24k,forgot to mention did have to pay for parts cleaner, lubricant which cost 15.75,used some reward points twards that.Z

I completely hate these stock rotors/pads on my car.  It literally doesn't take but one single moderate stomp on them from a normal highway speed and they are pulsating so bad that if feels like the front of the car is about to fall off.  If I'm easy on them you'd never know they were bad but one trip down a mildly twisty road and you'll loose your damn eye teeth from the vibrations once they get hot.

I cannot wait to get them off the car.

How many miles on them? cause had the same situation with my other SHO,found out the brakes were warped and noticed inside the rims had some deterioation due to sitting so long, probably a flood or something, another note your going to gradually ruin your suspension like that(vibration). Z

Yeah the vibration on mine were the same when hot. No pulsating though.

2015 with PP does not have those issues.

A little bit off topic here but find it efficient washing my own car after the brakes have cooled down, and avoiding any type of car wash while the brakes are hot, could lead to excess damage especially when new.Z
