Hoooreeee sheeet ....  :D  Un-freaking believable.. damn son,  32-degrees 'peak' WoT timing on tonight's run.  (dammit. misread the log in excitement.. :P  )

I will NEVER regret buying that meth kit now... nope no question at all.

AJP .. JEBUS man.. I do not see why you just quit your job and go full time Tuner bother.  I have had another tuner and i will NOT go back. Quality and patience are hard to find you got'em in spades ..

You EVER end up in Eugene Oregon the beer and steaks are on me ..

Ok for posterity here are my logs thus far...

Nice to read that another person is beyond elated with their Methanol Kit.

Convincing the naysayers has always been a challenge. But glad to see you yourself are happy.

Continued successes going forward!

Well ALOT of it was a self learning experience,. And it has been educational frustrating fun scary but ultimately vastly rewarding..  when I get back from Hawaii I cannot wait to take her back to the strip.

Nice! @Tropersho I'm hopeful you will see mid 12's or better in the Horizon especially with the cooler Temps approaching. Z  :ok:

Damn Topher, you are making me regret selling mine.  Grats and gad you are happy with it.  Time to head up here and do a Dynojet dyno day?

I second the beer and steaks, AJP ever gets to Seattle it is game on..

After the meth is dialed in it may be time!  As for the regret .. man that's a tough call I thought i'd stop at pump gas myself.

On one hand I know were exceeding the PTU's TQ limits now so there is risk.  But damn.... the dig and pull on this thing!

Yeah.  I think for now Meth is just not something I need.  Daily driver and never get to track sooo...

But hearing your journey and results get me thinking.  Maybe in a year when my warranty expires.....

When you going to get to the track?

After Hawaii, August 30th.. Maybe the 1st or the 2nd of September?  I will know more when I get back!

Generally I'm an easier driver than most people here and haven't even been to the track this year with my DD, but since the meth install a year and a half ago, I wouldn't want to be without it.

Glad you are happy! Interesting he is still using throttle control a bit, hows the traction when you break boost? Here is a meth long from mine with Brads tune.. not as long a pull as the police are cracking down out here... 205kpa with 25+ degrees of advance... I have one with more timing but I can't get traction with that tune even at a prepped track..

curious if the throttle closure helps with traction...

Genuine question here, not being confrontational/mocking...
What benefit are you seeing from it for a DD or car you do not race.  I know it will lower iat, but for a mellow drive home car is there a benefit I am overlooking?  Mine is running 125-150* low throttle cruising or at stoplights, but the car pulls pretty darn strong as is, or is it just that much better?  I see 6psi+ daily, sometimes 13-14psi.

For me it is not just the IAT2 now,  the 26+ degrees of timing 'should' put it on the close side of 600ftlbs at WoT 3500 .. under normal driving when the light kicks on and it injects I feel it pull harder with less throttle in basic driving.  Heck using partial throttle feels like racing it stock.  it ''for me'' becomes a giggle worthy enjoyment to not be putting my foot in it and launching with in reasonable bounds away from intersections, onramps and what-not.  I smile from ear to ear when it burbles at 2200rpm and i feel the TQ swell up when the light kicks on..

Since i race a bunch at the tracks i will get my $ worth for sure.  if i was not a Drag racer i might not have installed it....  but to get the benefit of 115+ octane + ambient temps or less than ambient temps even when not racing and not plowing the pedal makes it a buttery joy to drive.

Topher, you went basic stage 1 also Right?  Have to look back at your thread.  I know ajp likes all or nothing spray vs progressive.

Update after Vacation ..

Datalogs for rev22 of tune (rev #2 for meth)
3rd gear sweep
1-4th gear run

**Note,  i am suspect of my meth.. timing was much lower than expected.
**Note,  the throttle cut in a bit.. did not expect that.
**Note, boost was lower.. not sure why.

He is commanding 201kpa... so unless your previous tunes were commanding more, it appears you were hitting your target.. your spark looks good, your knock sensor was pulling timing from third through fourth.. not much.. but it was pulling a bit of timing..

I too notice that your throttle was kicking in a bit more... especially in first.. I know Brad was working on a way to keep first from spinning everywhere? Dunno...

Looks like a solid tune none the less! Glad you are happy. Was this a recent tune revision he sent you?
