My stock SHO needs mods!

We already have the tune only @12.54

Meth and full bolt on kit @11.8

So full bolt on with our newest tune revision...if you do a few quick calcs 12.1's-12.2's. FLIRTING....

ok, I see.  So what is the current tune revision for the '10-'12 and '13+?  Would def be all good to get so close to 11's w/o meth.

I have a premonition your wife has a few choice words on the subject, Rich!
Her words are...I'm driving the next time we go to Milan!!!

But we are trying to get her in an XSport sometime this year. We're thinking after winter when the prices will be more negotiable.

Until then, there is a little, I mean little concern about  the mod level...mainly cost as we're trying to save up and pay the SHO off(her & me), and make it fast(me). Lol

Yeah, until SHE realizes that your SHO and her XSport are the same car and she can get all the same mods you can!

She so wants a tuned XSport. Fully loaded and she's leaning silver. She loves the idea of a sporty SUV, unlike our trailblazer that has zero gas pedal it seems.

Can your newest tunes be loaded on an xcal3? If yes, how much for the tune only that includes BAP/plugs/t-stat mod?

Our custom tune files STILL do not fit on or work with SCT hardware. We alter tables that other tuner software companies CANNOT.

I recall quite awhile ago there was reference to a V-1 tune, any update, status on that revision tune, besides the current V-8 tune which to me honestly is the best by far.

What will the 3bar MAP do for improvement?  Do you get a lot of benefit by changing the thermostat?
Thanks,
Greg

Welcome Greg! The 3BAR will allow the ECM to use any boost above 14.7 psi in running the engine.  What I noticed most was a more incremental and smoother running car. You will have to have a tune to run the 3BAR.... Without the tune the car runs like crap if it even starts.
Most tuners recommend... Or require... The cooler T-stat for tuning to the highest performing tune.  It takes longer to heat soak with the cooler T-stat, but the real differences do not seem to exceed 10 degrees or less in routine driving.

Might want to put at least the make and model of you ride in your signature to get you the best answers.
Enjoy the forum.

I'll consider this false until an example is provided. Funny because SCT and HP tuners say the same thing.

So what tables do you have access to that you think aren't available to other tuning software suites? But I'm sure you won't want to reveal it so I'm not sure how people will ever know whether it's true or not. Too bad there isn't an SCT person here to represent themselves and or point out other tuning company's deficiencies. Most people here that are tuned don't even know what an MTF is let alone what types of things are in the all of the tables within the tune they are running.

Lol...no they just say those things...ya know, false advertising is cool

Great way to try and put down the entire forum....hiccup, did you crush beer can on forehead too?

Rich

Thanks BigMac! Very helpful.  I have a 2010 that I bought new.  Unleashed tune in November 2014, with AIR RAID CAI.  Again thanks for the great information!

Say what you mean....You are an easy one SHOnUup....You probably believe everything you hear then...Most of the tuning companies do that type of thing, it gets old. Actually I think the switch to the mycalibrator was more political but they like to claim it's because it's more functional. I'm still looking for an example what it can do specifically that other software can't.

Have you seen calibrator level access with SCT? I don't even really care which software company is better but what I do find humorous is when one company says they can do more without specifically stating why or how.

Can you even buy an editable tune format with LMS are you stuck with the tune that they send you? I don't know I'm just asking

I also like how SHODDED called LMS out on the flirting with 11's. I only see people stating 12.5's-12.8's with tune and boltons. So LMS says the latest tune revision takes another .5+ off....That's pretty good I'd say then to say flirting with 11's..Spoken like a true sales man.

It's cool though...Can't wait to run mine in the spring....If the bolt on and tune only LMS customers are running 15-18 psi and running very low 12's I should be in the 11's no problem with just my bolt ons and stock plugs and T-stat! This is awsome
