Need some guidance and direction please

As some might know I broke from a certain tuner, and I am in process of climbing my way back up... Long road so far, but I am currently working with a local guy, and we are so close to what I feel is a good tune. I wanted to post a log or two and see what the thoughts are, and also I NEED to help him figure out a way to keep my throttle from closing during my WOT runs. I'm not sweating the powertrain issues etc, but it is for sure giving me peaks and valleys I'm not used to! I would really appreciate any help on this.

Our resident expert, AJP, would be best qualified to assist.  I would PM him directly.  Are you still using the Diablo for tuning?

If you mean Shawn for tuning, NO, if you mean tuning brand, then SCT.

Yes AJP was awesome and my car apparently is being a b*tch with his efforts...  for whatever reason, I think that problem is mostly solved. However, at this point my tuner isn't aware of how to keep the throttle open throughout the WOT runs. I just am trying to direct on what tables, or techniques he should try in order to do this. I know AJP was able to do such based on the logs, and so was my previous tuner, who we won't mention. I was just hoping it was something to get me over the hump.?

I'm curious about the KR issue you were having.

What fuel brand and octane do you run?

Do you use the same fuel brand and/or station every time?

Anything going on that could possibly induce noise into the knock sensor?

May sound crazy, but have you tried changing the knock sensor? I had a Nissan and it's common with those cars to get an overly sensitive sensor.

Don't know. I don't seem to have that problem with every tune... Drove 50 miles today, and never got past 3.5* of KR.  It seems to knock at part throttle lower RPMs

I only run Shell 93, and from same station if possible.

I have not, trying to figure out how to get my service dept. to swap them out??

On my Nissan, I went with a "do not try this at home" approach.

Dipped the sensor in plasti-dip a few times, let it dry, and remounted it on the block.  De-sensitized sensor...check!

Not recommending that approach to anyone, but it worked quite well.  I would not want to do that on a turbo motor.

Looks like our sensors aren't that expensive and are under the intake manifold.  Not sure how accessible they are.

Just other food for thought, I've heard of things falsely setting off knock sensors.  Like clunking motor mounts, rubbing exhaust, etc.  Anything that transmits a vibration/frequency through the motor can be misinterpreted.

well, it seems my car takes a day or two to adjust, because I just reran a log on a tune and found my worst knock was -.25??? My car is possessed! I am a little worried about fuel pressure though...

"negative" knock is good.  "positive" knock is bad.  So your engine is doing just fine with the fuel & timing.  Why are you worried about fuel pressure?

I understand the -KR is good, but I was told that my car didn't have the fuel pressure of others, and at the end of this run, it dipped pretty far?? Or not? Thanks

Ok, that might be a concern, though the 2013+ is supposed to have even greater fueling capability than the 2010-12, if that's any comfort.  Did AJP indicate what's going on?

EDIT:  What is line pressure?  New to me.  For the HPFP, we use fuel rear pressure on an SCT device.

yeah AJP is the one who told me. I had my tuner attempt to command more fuel this time around. Not sure if that works, but the whole project is work in process

Clubs I didn't see fuel pressure logged in that one labeled rev. 14?...I can't remember, but did I ask you if you had any crazy stereo equipment? And or if you've had your battery or alternator tested? Sometimes weak charging systems or low voltage make the low pressure pump have weak output...Long shot but....

Yeah, I don't have any big stereo equipment. I guess I need to monitor more stuff? I was going off rail pressure...

I don't see rail pressure logged in that one you posted?
