Almost - I have PPE NON-catted and stock exhaust. Zero issues and the sound is great, as is the improvement in low-end grunt

In your Opinion, which will be the better CATTED downpipes for my car? I want the catted. because I want to pass inspection. Thanks in advance guy's. I will be installing them this Friday ( have my buddy's lift to the day) along with my new Lowering springs. Rich

Good info. In AZ the carbon number stamped on the cat (PPE & LME) is important to a visual inspection.... On top of the OBDII emissions system readiness.ZSHO said:Drove stock for a little over 30mi and based on the torque app Emission readiness everything was complete and headed over to inspection station and passed with flying colors, just a little updated info for those of you that require emission testing and are worried about passing with CATTED DP AND STRAIGHT THRU EXHAUST,one more thing based on PPE DP AND LIVERNOIS DP are essentially the same DP,both use magnaflow cats and will pass, just my 2cent.
I'm assuming when you guys say no thrown codes you mean with your updated tune file? I definitely had CEL until I put in the updated tune. I think this should be clarified so that those looking into just buying the dps and exhaust should be aware they will also need to get the tune, no way around it. I had multiple exhaust cels until I got the updated tune. I was personally told on the phone before I made my purchase there wouldn't be any thrown codes, then when I said I had multiple cels after install, I was told I needed the updated tune, so luckily for me I had purchased that as well. Maybe it's different with the Taurus? Either way I was told no cels then I had them and only fix was to tune.LivernoisMotorsports said:Rich196 said:I'm looking to pull the trigger either today or tomorrow on a set of CATTED Downpipes for my 2013 SHO, I see livernois has them in stock ready to go.... We do have our Downpipes made and ready to ship. And as bpd1151 stated, we have not had any thrown codes either. We DO recommend that you tune your vehicle as well, as to make sure that you are optimizing the application of the add-on. Nonetheless, congrats on your new purchase! Hopefully the next time you decide to make a modification we get a chance to speak.
Thank you for the clarification on that.ZSHO said:When we mention no CEL OR DTC codes basically its intended when a tuned vehicle with DP'S is returned to stock [factory settings] and no codes are set.
