Hi...my name is Matt....I've been an addict to internal combustion motorsports since I can remember....

My enthusiasm created an organization called Utahstangs.org. (1500+ members) We have a forum (its pretty much dead now that everyone uses the FB version)  and stay heavily involved in the mustang community.  Our cruises typically bring 50-70 cars each time.  Been running that for about 13 years now.

I owned 96 SHO with nitrous for two years (98-99).  Was one of the first to experience the wonderful cam failure.  Repaired the car then sold it.  Always kicked myself for not getting a Gen2.

Currently in the garage

1990 Mustang GT. I've had it for 15 years now.  Its evolved into a street driven car that is open tracked and auto-x'd constantly.  I did the entire build and tuning (Binary Editor) in my garage.  Basics are a 347 stroker, Vortech Si-trim, T56, and tons of Maximum Motorsports suspension goodies.  Its made 575rwhp with methanol and a crazy custom cam.  I have since put in a much torquer cam and ditched methanol and I'm around 550rwhp last dyno session. I never built it with full drag racing in mind but wearing slicks it's best run has been 11.41@123, its also in the 130 club with the Bonneville Salt Flats Racing Association.

2003 Mustang Cobra. Have had this for almost 4 years now.  We purchased it after my wife's 01' Cobra with a full 03' drivetrain swap was totaled in an accident. (She was OK)  I carried over the speed parts from the wrecked one after I purchased it back and parted it out.  Its got all the basic hoopla.  Ported blower, exhaust, intake, tune, ect...  Tuned with SCT Pro Racer pack.  Heath at Premier Performance did the base tune and I've made little tweeks here and there.  Makes 497rwhp last dyno session.  Trying to not go overboard with it because we take it on multi-state road trips often and my 2 year old daughter absolutely loves riding in it.  My wife races this one often and drives it too on nice days.

Had a Marauder as a daily driver for 10 years.  An 03 for 2 years, and an 04 for 8 years.  The 03 had horrible paint issues and Ford wouldn't do anything about it even being under full bumper/bumper so I ditched it like a bad girlfriend.  Loved the cars for the sound, compliments, and all round multi use for my work and life.  I'm a Realtor so a 4dr car is absolutely necessary for my profession.

Now, I have a SHO.  I searched for 3 months to find a deep impact blue with the performance pack and the option package I wanted.  After getting on here and seeing the break down sheet, no wonder it was a hard time to find one.  Mine is 1 of 92.  I flew to Colorado and drove it home back to Utah.  Loving it so far.  I miss the RWD fun and V8 sound/hum of the Marauder but the SHO is growing on me quite well.  It also helps this SHO is WAY faster than my Marauder was with quite a few bolt ons.

I look forward to being a typical post whore on here and learning new things about these direct injection engines.  They are light years more advanced than what I'm used to playing with.

Don't be surprised if your daughter picks the 1990 Stang to drive when she is old enough :)  Great rides, one & all, nice to see the entire family enjoy the fine automobiles.

She really likes riding in grandpa's 05 Roush.  My dad insists he's giving it to her when she's 16.  I don't know about that......... lol

Why have just 1, when you can double the fun???

Welcome from the crew here at Livernois Motorsports and congrats on the new ride!

Very nice choice, that is a sharp color to have for sure.  let us know if there is anything we can do to help take that beautiful new SHO to the next level.

I had a feeling by your name that you had a fox. I have a 93 gt that is tuned also with binary editor and a quarterhorse. Love the rwd, but the sho is a great daily driver. Welcome to the forum!!

Welcome aboard!!!  Clearly you have great taste in cars :-)  I also made the switch from the Marauder family, had three 04s all in silver birch.  I believe you are going to love the SHO.
