New guy in Arizona. 2011 SHO

Hey ladies and gents

I just picked up this 2011 SHO

I got it for what I consider a really good price, and got a good 3 year extended warranty.

It does have higher mileage at 85k but it was also maintained well and is cosmetically perfect.

Reasoning for getting a SHO- I have always been a Ford guy, and loved SHOs. I need a 4door for my son but I also like something with some sporty attributes. I think the newer SHOs offer most of what I was looking for, for cars in this range.

I will most likely just drive her for a little bit until I get used to it and then do the basic bolt-ons/tune.

Not looking for a race car, it will never see the track and rarely see WOT for extended periods. I just like having the ability to go fast if I feel the need lol.

Anyways I look forward to digging into it a bit more and enjoying the new purchase.

Welcome to the forum, congrats on your SHO (a beaut!), and glad you are here :)  Nice catch with the extended warranty!  Get familiar with the SHO, and the possibilities with the SHO, some of which can be found in the HOW TO section of the forum.  Hope your son enjoys the ride!

Welcome, would you be willing to let my guys cut off your third cat to test the new boost activated cutout and then put it back to stock after?
:)
I'm in Ahwatukee but shop is in Phoenix right by the airport.
When we get done you'll just have a weld between 3rd cat and resonator.
If you want some downpipes or other mods I will give you a super deal on everything for your time. :)

Hell yeah I am down for that, how long would you guys need it for?

you can just leave the cutout in there when you are done :)

Need it for a full Saturday, drop it off in the morning pick it up in the evening over a Black Market Racing.
I'll check with Jeremy at the shop when I get there, we're putting the new heads on my CTS-V tonight.... :)

Thanks fellas.
I got a chance to really take her out for a drive tonight and I have to say I am impressed. I've owned some fast cars and this thing is right up there. Very smooth and power is almost instantaneous which is surprising for a turbo vehicle.

Glad your enjoying her.  They are an excellent sleeper. I know the guy in a brand new Ss camaro was trying to figure out why he wasn't leaving me in his dust from a stop light the other day.

I'm not a big racer nor do I bag in my car a lot but I did hit a few on ramps tonight and I was pleasantly surprised. Looking forward to what a tune does to it

The tune will make you think stock felt like you were towing a boat!!!!

You know I have read that a bunch of times on here. I hope it's true.

Thanks.

And I was driving it today and it felt slower. The turbos did not appreciate the heat. Looking forward to getting the tune in there.

I also gave it a bath today, it looks so much better.

Two things that should help handle the heat:  a cooler TStat, and a trans cooler upgrade.  The TStat is the easier mod, but car has to be tuned to take advantage (turn fans on earlier).

I've already ordered a 170 stat
534 plugs
picking up an airraid intake tomorrow

And finally the tune from torrie will be here in the next couple weeks. I just want to make sure I have the first round of mods I plan on living with for a little while before I get the tune.

Intake purchased. Tstat coming from Mike when I can get over there.

On the 1st I'll be ordering my tune

I think after tune will be either lowering springs or coilovers. I like the price of springs but have the adjustability is so nice.

Then I'll start working on exhaust.
