New Guy with a New to Me SHO

Hello all!  My name is Ed, I've been registered for a few weeks now, just been reading and absorbing as much as I can.  I live in the DuBois area of PA, and see I have some 'neighbors' relatively close.  May have to organize a meet some time!

I'm not new to the world of turbocharged automobiles (DSM's, VAG cars, turbo EK hatch build, Subie's), but I am learning from the ground up again with direct injection and the Ecoboost platform.  So far I'm understanding that religious fluid changes are one of the most important things that can be done.

I love the forum so far, and want to thank everyone for the knowledge they bring.  The How To section has a ton of stuff I can't wait to tackle, kudos to the individuals who took the time to share their experiences so newbs such as myself can have a reference point to start at.

My goals for the SHO are to have a mid-high 12 second daily driver that will be driven year round.  My understandings are this is pretty attainable with a tune and down pipes, although I know NOTHING is set in stone.  I am planning on going 93oct Unleashed on an X4, 3 bar, SP534's, and a 170* tstat.  MAYBE a flanged muffler delete if I don't get DP's right away.  Something that I can easily bolt back on as wanted.

Cheers!

Welcome aboard, dubcitySHO, sounds like you a solid plan for your ride!  Post pics & updates as available, we look forward to them!

The day I got her.  Had great lighting for my phone to pick up the Red Candy glow.

On its first trip with the family in tow.  Saw this photo op at a rest stop in VA.

Welcome! I can tell you Torrie is amazing! Tune only on my 2013 non PP best time is 12.805 @ 106.5. The guy works wonders, I will say I live in FL, and that time was achieved in late April. My car is a daily driven dad mobile, running high 12's, and I love it. Hope yours treats you as well as mine has!

That's what I'm hoping for!  Being such a heavy car, not to mention lugging my 280lbs along, even a 12.999 would be a win in my book!

Quick question a little off topic, is there a post count requirement for the 'Verification' questions to be disabled for every post?
