Hi Everyone - Been a lurker for a little. Names Chris, I am from STL. Go Blues! I have a 2015 Tuxedo Black Taurus SHO Non-PP which I just installed a 170 Stat Thermostat, 3-bar Map sensor, and a 91 and 93 tune from Torrie at Unleashed over the 4th of July weekend. Aesthetically, I have blacked out all the chrome with vivid vinyl, smoked tails light with vivid vinyl, upgraded to LEDs inside and out, 6000K switch backs, and 6000K RCP HID headlights. Future project is to add exhaust and brakes.

The black or paint matched trim should have come from the factory.  It makes the car look so much better.

I thought about going the paint route, but I wanted something I could remove in case I wanted to go back to chrome. I wish Ford would have made a Black Edition of the SHO, that way I could’ve just bought the black trim straight from Ford.

Ford graced us by providing a Gen 4 SHO, then the Perf Pkg with the Gen 5.  Then they felt really tired and had to lay down.  LOL

Yeah For BOFA.

Welcome aboard scrwloose26!  Many of us also suffer from screws loose.....some more than others!  Nice looking SHO

Welcome Chris, you're off to s great start, Torrie writes some amazing tunes that really wake up the Ecoboost.  And while we're talking about members with a screw loose, anyone who says their car's color is better than Tuxedo Black belongs in that club.  TB FTW!!

Welcome! and nice ride. I always love the blacked out look but my personality can only handle white.
good start on the mods list.

Detect a bit of sarcasm!!! It was all in good fun! Z

So DP's and Intercooler are next?

Personally before those, I would be getting H&R's and the upgraded trans mounts.  However, you have a Lincoln and it probably rides really nice.

My SHO still rides okay, but I removed the creature ride comforts for performance and now the car is completely different in ride, feel, and sound inside the cabin.

I was thinking about doing brakes, and exhaust next. Are the trans mounts hard to install?

Personally I have the Powerstop Drilled and Slotted Rotors with their ceramic performance pads.  The pads are junk if you brake heavily from high speeds.  I personally would get the front and rear rotors, and pick up a pair of PP front and rear brakes pads.  I never had fade with the PP brake pads.

Don't bother with exhaust, it will make the car sound like crap.  DP's will help with performance, but from DP's back....zero gains and garbage sound.

Never mind, you have an SHO.  I would definitely get some H&R springs, and the trans mounts.  If you have stock DP's, and a 15 mm ratchet wrench, it takes about a half hour start to finish including getting the car on jack stands.  Literally 4 bolts.  You will experience more drive train vibration, but the performance on the shifts during WOT is worth it to me. The virbrations lessen the more miles you put on them. Worth every penny.

Below, stock junk vs Gen2 Mounts and the rear mount installed.  I was too lazy to pull off the cover again to take a pic of the front mount.  However it is stupid easy to swap out.
