Nitrous Shot Possible?

I think.... I think I want a sneaky pete shot of nitrous... nothing too big... like a 25-35 shot... with the LMS tunes running as rich as they do, plus the fuel pressure stays above 2000psi... maybe not an issue to run nitrous on top of their tune?

Haven't seen anyone do it...

You already have a car that takes ungodly amounts of spark on 93, just run an EBlend and save the hassle of a NO2 kit

That won't help his iat2 temps and I think a small nitrous shot would...

Probably sick of me trying to get you to tinker with my car LOL... but I am contemplating... since my car doesn't like the the quick ramp up on the boost (you mentioned that my wastegate logic is pretty aggressive) and cold ambient... trying a lower boosted tune with more spark on E20.. somewhere around maybe 190kpa with spark as close to MBT as possible.. but that would require a dyno tuning session I believe...

I haven't seen any logs of what a nitrous hit looks like on our cars from a fuel pressure, IAT2, etc... how our ECU responds to it...  EcoPowerParts might have something as he was playing with it at one point...

Fair enough, didn't realize IATs were the driving factor

IAT2 do get hot... with the turbos really cranking... and 80+ ambients... which ends up pulling spark...

I can remedy the fuel pressure drop better when the load spikes but it comes at the expense of throttle opening...basically i will make it step in faster/harder...i try to ride the line to get the throttle open faster without letting fuel pressure on too much...basically id have to do something similar to what i did on polski's car since that car fir some still unknown reason resists fuel flow

Honestly with your boost i dont think it would need turned down and the nitrous would give the fuel you need and allow the spark from cooling

Yea, you stepped up the throttle response at the spikes.. which keeps my fuel pressure well above 1500psi.. but I can really feel it stepping in. Its just a pisser when the temps are colder that my car responds poorly to boost. Once ambients are over 70, I have no issues. IAT's not withstanding...

Nitrous does not raise octane by itself.

Not that i doubt you on feeling the throttle but sometimes i wonder when i give too many details that im not messing with peoples heads

I kinda think that you are not feeling feeling a loss of power when the throttle steps in but rather not the extra power from the load increase of the boost spike because its mitigated ....you are feeling the throttle bring load back down to desired...my thoughts anyway

The rapid drop in load as the throttle clamps down to hit target load during the spikes is exactly what I was thinking.. but it IS noticeable, however, its a similar feeling I get with the LMS tunes which steps the throttle in even more and use less boost... so combine the higher boost with a more aggressive throttle control would make perfect sense to me...

One of the reasons I enjoy your tunes is the throttle response and over all feel.. its crisp when you are standing on it. That was the REALLY nice thing about the wastegate mod, it reminded me of the days of cable driven throttles.

Anyway, we can take this offline if you want. No reason the gum up the boards with it.

There is a certain feel I am looking for LOL.. closest I got to what I was looking for was with the WG mod.. might pick up another one.. maybe not... maybe nitrous.. thoughts of the day heh..

Thats on the table as well.. I am comparing the two...mainly from a cost and install standpoint.. Nitrous is cheap and doesn't take long to install... AND i can get refills locally...

Meth is more expensive.. longer install period.. overall better benefits...and I am having difficulties sourcing 100% Methanol locally...

AND I am not excited about running a tune that is designed for Meth... its just something else I need to keep track of.. with Nitrous... I use it when I need it...

If you only spray a tiny bit of meth it can be as passive as nitrous i bet....my thoughts are people are over using the meth especially when untuned for it

Depends on your desired results I would think? If you are just using the meth to cool down your charge, then a little bit goes a long way?

If you are looking for additional fueling, then you would need more I would think?

I think the people who have tried ran small wet kits.  Not sure if I would want to let the computer handle a dry kit.

I so want to do this to my car. I just don't want to Murphy's law to bite me in ass and then I will be forced to build a short block. Also I can not data log with my tuner so this is the other problem.

Im saying if you go wet and the nitrous is in the fuel. The map sensor wont see the cooling and you wont get the spark back from comps
