Not the right gear?

I've noticed for awhile now that it seems like my SHO won't upshift unless I mash on the throttle. When I am just normally accelerating, it feels like it is just bogging down. Is this something that can be adjusted? I've had my tune since about June/July this year.

I've noticed this also. Usually only from 6-5 or 5-4.
That's when I see knock also.
I guess the engine torque wants to take care of it instead of the tranny.

3 most favorite culprits:  spark plugs, fuel system, or PTU.  Check the plug gapping & proper engine operation (should be dry, light tan, etc.).  Fuel system could be clogging & not able to deliver on demand.  PTU fluid could need changing.  4th culprit:  coking of valves/oil in CAC.

Did this all start happening with switch to winter gas (assuming they have winter gas in WA)?

I think we are talking a downshift and not an upshift maybe?

I have sometimes felt the car should drop a gear instead up loading up like it does, I do not have to mash it but a firm press and slight release drops it down nicely with out getting crazy. Or since mine is a low mileage 2014 I can hit the paddle down while in auto...

When did this start ? What file is in use ?

TooFast4SHO, you are correct with my problem. It is a downshift.  Hopefully elund will clarify also.

Torrie sent you a pm.

Well....whatever its called, when I step on the gas from a roll, I just feel like it doesn't shift like it should unless I mash the gas pedal pretty good.

Exactly what I am talking about.

When did this start ?
Are all programs affected ?
If no then what file does not replicate it ?
Does this occur stock ?

I will have to switch out my MAP sensor and go back to stock and drive it when I get off work. I will get back to you.

My main question to you would be has this been the case since you installed this specific program that I sent you on 8-22 or did it just start occurring yesterday

It didn't just start yesterday. Its happened often but I just dismissed it. The car doesn't get driven much, but I remember having these issues right after the tune was installed.

I think I may have experienced something similar when I had my 12 SHO. I would do a throttle pedal relearn. To me it would seem as if using the car in the same tp range daily it would just get used to work in that zone. To my butt Dyno the car would be quicker to downshift and shift better after the procedure. Use the search feature on this it's been discussed here before.
