P.Package traction control.

those of you with PP, which traction control do you turn off? Advanced, by holding the brake and the button for 5 seconds, or do you just hit the button twice? which works better on the track?

I shut off advanctrac...i wouldnt want any intervention of traction or stability control....its to intrusive when it steps in

Ha! When advance Trac kicks on, it dumps all my boost... You can see it in he logs.. WGDC just drops to 0 like it hit a wall...I have a non-pp so I get that issue when I really dog it..

If I am on a flat road and going straight I don't have an issue. If I am turning at ALL or punching it from a stop going up a hill the front lifts and advactrac cuts my balls off...

4.3 seconds 0-60 all day long without launching with your setup....if I do a real launch  I spin too much... Probably need to experiment with dropping tire pressures...

4.5 seconds is the best I could do with LMS 4+X race tune..even after they re-wrote for me..

5.1 with Unleashed...but Torrie never could nail down a tune on my car...I ended up going else where...

There actually may be a way i could replicate the PP's ability to disable advancetrac in a non pp but it may be experimental and render stability control useless so it would be for a "race tune" only...but im not sure yet if i can do it

I turned it all the way off at the track, and still the car complained on a few runs where I launched a bit hard. Didn't seem to pull power, but didnt like going over 100mph with it off, popped up a "Service AdvanceTrac Soon" light. No code or anything though, and it went away on key cycle.

I agree, I did a run with just normal traction control off and lost atleast .1 of a second time wise, and could feel it stepping in.

I got that message pretty consistently when I raced my SHO...I think it has to do with brake boosting

Yeah, it scared me at first, but I checked, and no codes, and still consistent times, so I just ignored it when it popped up the next time.

I'm interested in turning off all this advance crap also. Is there a way to turn off the traction control with a push of a button instead of going down through all the menus on the dash?

There was a guy who could do it... Using IDS... Only on the 2013+...

This "guy" was/is Jason & he hails from Wisconsin.... his user name in most forums is "jmr061".

At one point in the past, Jason was performing complete disabling of the traction & stability protocols, for those 2010-2012 Non-PP owners, so the info of 2013+ exclusively,  is not necessarily accurate.

Due to lack of participation, Jason has since concentrated his efforts on those 2013+ Non-PP owners.

Perhaps some of you can grease the proverbial wheels to have both him & AJP network/interact with eachother, for the benefit of the community overall.

Certainly worth a try!

Thanks for the clarification, his website only mentions 2013+ now.

No problem. My pleasure.

I was one of those 2010 owners who tried to coordinate schedules between myself and Jason, and just never was able to do so.

I've been kicking myself ever since. Please, someone, anyone else, feel free to kick me too.

Lol.
