Passenger seat sensor

Has anyone else had this issue? It just started happening. I can't find anything, under the seat, that might be blocking the rails or anything. Any explanations or guidance would be appreciated. Thanks

I think it has something to do with the restraint module.
Does the front passenger side air bag function properly.? Turn on & off? Under the front screen.

It should turn on when someone 100 lb or more sit on the seat. Z
Can you check to see if any codes are set? Z

I haven't checked, for codes, yet. The airbag isn't functioning correctly either. It takes it a few minutes to recognize a passenger in the seat. If no passenger, it sounds the seatbelt alert. It's irritating and, potentially, unsafe. I'll check for codes this afternoon

It could also be your seatbelt buckle not unlocking properly and it could be stuck. Z
Check the red clip fastener to see if goes up and down smoothly. Z

Maybe try removing the - battery cable for 30 min and let the ecu/bcm reset.
If that doesn't work, dealer recal may be necessary.
