PID for PTU Temperature

I can't seem to find this.  Is this an available PID?
Does the Flex/SHO have a PTU temp sensor!

I believe only the 13+ PP SHO  have it.
I'm not 100% positive though.

Yes it's 13+ PP only. The PID is 22070D and formula is same as the trans temp.

The PI's should also have this available, maybe the XSport.  No idea on the Flex.

IIRC only performance pkg (SHO) and police package vehicles (Taurus & Explorer) have a PTU temp sensor as well as the PTU fluid cooling.

  Sure you got the formula correct?  Sometimes an extra space here or there will kill it.

I don't have the sensor on the Flex.

Is there a way it can be added?

I don't think the computer is enabled to accept the sensor data.

Anyone know if the non PP SHO has the temp sensor wiring in its wiring harness?

For those with PP can you post a picture of the wire and where it comes out of the harness?

Looks like it plugs into the wiring harness up on the firewall.  I would guess the actual harness it plugs into is the engine wiring harness.  If so I'll need to do some homework to see if PP cars use the same harness as non PP.

It sounds about right!! Under extreme temperatures/conditions of high Torque would be around 195 deg F.  Z

Sorry to dig up an old thread but I am planning to install the PI PTU on my 2013 non-PP SHO.  Did anyone ever find out if the non-PP harness has provisions for the PTU temp sensor?  Also, would I need a PI PCM in order to get the code that monitors service intervals for the PTU fluid?


Option B is just add a trans temp gauge with a generic oil temp sensor in the factory temp sensor port and manually monitor temps.
