Definitely thanks Z!  I have made an appointment to have the car looked stars well as this hissing sound coming from under the hood. Can't pin point it and doesn't seem to change with revs. I just know that I've never heard it before but there is no performance loss and no codes so maybe it's all in my head. Lol. Will update though once they figure it out. I'm always hesitant on letting other people work on my car.

Its my pleasure to help out a fellow member,in regards to the hissing sound,is it more present when the a/c is on and do you hear it twards the rear of the engine by the firewall?  BTW keep us updated . Z

Got a call from the dealership that pushed my appointment back to a day where they could have more time with it because the only opening they had was at 1500 so the service manager didn't feel it was adequate time to diagnose before closing. No problem with me and thought it was nice of them to call. As far as the noise is concerned it is apparent with the A/C on and is located towards the rear drivers side of the engine between it and the firewall left of the brake cylinder. I haven't tried it with the A/C off as of yet since its been raining. I just recently noticed it and don't remember ever hearing it previously or on my '11 that I traded it in for.

It seems like everything is on target so far, especially to scrap the 1500 hr schedule because the test drive would of taken most of the time to start with,be prepared to leave your car there and most likely receive a loaner because these parts are not usually in stock and have to be ordered, while your there you could mention that hissing sound but quite honestly think its normal especially with the a/c on as it utilizes, deploys both fans and then propels all the generated heat twards the rear of the engine producing that hissing sound. So I'm set for Friday. As far as the noise in the engine bay I checked it with AC and off and it is still apparent. For those curious and for any thoughts on the noise here is a vid.

Right at the start of the video you see a hose to the left of the master cylinder reservoir that looks like it has a zip tie around it. What is that? It's not the one with the brake booster vacuum line is coming from its to the left of that.

It's right in this area
