Hey guys, so my push start just caved in a few days ago. I took the trim piece out to find the button secured by 4 clips. 2 of those broke. I called ford and of course they are not sold seperately but need to buy the whole trim for like $220.00
Anyone experience this or has an idea how i can get replacement clips or a repair thats cost effective?

Any pics? Can you use an epoxy to keep it in place?
I've had good experiences
With this.

No I don't think an epoxy will work

I would try adding a couple of rubber o-rings behind the push button start to see if you can possibly secure it in place.  Z

I was curious if you can possibly remove the 4-torx screws and maybe create, fabricate a plate behind the cover in order to hold and secure the push button start in place on the pic below.
I fortunately had the pleasure in removing and replacing
the instrument cluster on a few occasions which was a fun experience.LOL. Z

My push to start button did the same thing about 6 weeks ago. I was shocked to learn that I can only by the huge trim piece. I wrapped electrical tape around the tabs real tight and haven't had any problems since.
