Random thoughts for the day

I messaged the guy, I'll try and help him as much as I can, cool to see someone go a different route. There's a Motek ECU that can control PFI and DI along with many added advantages like torque management beyond factory ECU capabilities, flex fuel (mix of gas to full E85 and anywhere in between), traction control that is amazing. We'll see what they do. I'm looking at that ECU for my '17 Raptor when it comes in.

I'm thinking with that big Turbo that traction shouldn't be an issue...it's going to be supplying fuel.

Very impressive... I'd love to see the dynos or track times. I agree with ajp on the turbo lag... Not clear how the exhaust is plumbed to run it.  The biggest problem I see, beyond overtaxing the driveline and some internals as Mike points out, is the fact that there is no apparent CAI or air filtration of any type... Is it sucking hot engine bay air? Is there no air filter? Is this a track only car?

I just dont know where to start but unfortunately my father passed away a short time ago and want to thank many of you who have supported me during this ordeal, thanks.  Z  :rip: :rip:

def drive carefully, shouldn't hurt the fuel system over just one tank, but once below half mark, fill with premium just to dilute it out.  If you can pump it out, like Scott suggested, that's great, but you'd need an appropriate container for storage.

I got the tank down to half and put in E0 91 and after a day of driving the CEL cleared. I found out the remote start won't work with a CEL and I was working day shift... that took me back to the days of living in Phoenix and getting into an oven car.

Glad you made it out unscathed, did you have to mind your driving style at all?  I know they put a safety net around remote start, but it's no fun getting into an oven ...

I never got on the car too hard. when passing on the freeway, the car didn't feel as powerful and had that shudder going on. now that the mix is close to E20 again the car definitely has more oomph and no more shudder.

Just got sent this notice from AMSOIL, affects US customers only.  Buy your stuff before Aug 1, right now I think they have a coupon for $5 shipping for orders over $50.

U.S. Price Adjustment Effective Aug. 1

"After holding the line on pricing in the U.S. for the past five years, we are forced to implement a minimal price adjustment effective Aug. 1. The costs of base oils and other raw materials have increased significantly in the past few months, while the costs of every aspect of manufacturing and distribution have increased over the past five years. The accumulation of those increased costs requires an average price increase of 6 percent on many AMSOIL products. The renewed strength of the Canadian dollar and relative stability of the exchange rate has allowed us to leave Canadian pricing as it stands."
