Random thoughts for the day

I appreciate the replies from ^^^. But Its very unfortunate that the majority of Ford dealers have no clue on exactly whats involved in order to have the PTU Flushed!
Its from my understanding Ford charges 4.5 hrs labor book rate! Go figure!  Z

Koons Ford in Sterling, VA and Jerry's Ford wouldn't even entertain the idea.
Local shop that does BG flushes did it for $189. Said they had never flushed a Ford PTU and was shocked. Said they would recommend to all their AWD Ford customers. They took pictures and showed me the fluid they drained.

I was quoted $80 To do a PTU fluid change.  When it got there the price went way up.  The drain plug made it easy, but filling required dropping the exhaust to get to the fill plug, per the Ford service manual.

It didn't get done.  And the standard Ford answer is: "it is lifetime fluid and changing isn't required".

4.5 hours is completely ridiculous.  I have a 13 PP and it took me less then an hour.  The hard part was getting the vent tube on and off. The longest part was refilling the PTU through the vent.

Enjoying the colder temps on 91 octane because that's the best we get till the tanks get diluted enough to show the winter gas which here is better then the summer gas

Has anyone tried using a Magnet oil filter which is meant to collect finer metal particles, shavings within the oil filter. Z

Never had any need when a quality oil filter is in use.  The Purolator BOSS is quite a filter, and highly recommended for use.  There is a microGREEN filter I have yet to test out, developed in and supported by the State of NY btw :D  down to 2 microns!

Good to know with the average oil filter collecting down to 20 microns. Z

So started my new job this week... first time I have used a SHO for daily driving in well over 3 years...

The parking garage at my new place of work is FULL of Tesla’s... all different versions...

And BMWs, AUDI, Ferrari’s, and other high ends... the BMWs and Audi’s are slums... a couple chargers (hell cats and Daytona)...

I low ride my ass in there with Ford...

OMG you are messing with the demographic!  What is the world coming to!  LMAO!

Yup... maybe some exec will see the ford and get pissed that it’s there and demand they give that poor ford driver a raise to get it out of the garage... or the just tow it cause they figured someone is parking there illegally..

I think a raise is far more likely.  Unless they have the prototype Tesla tow truck to forcibly evict you from your squatters quarters.
