Random thoughts for the day

And the dealership model fails the Ford customer again....

It seems the other dealership will not play ball with my dealership because they have 2 or 3 "interested" customers.

Well if they're so "interested", why is the damn car still sitting on their lot?

If they're so interested, maybe they should get out their g-damn checkbooks!

So.....Bronze Fire?

Anyone know the difference between the cars that have "California emissions" on the window sticker vs the ones that don't?

When I think about "California emissions" I tend to think less power or potential for power...

IOW, buzzkill....

I was comparing the height on our SHO,think the coilovers are called for compared to my BIIIMER,which has Eibach springs and Bilstein shocks, guess have to wait until they hopefully come out soon.Z.

Not 100% but I think the springs on my PP are longer than non PP based on ride height comparison.

My dealer did the work on this rear door handles based on a TSB... the issue is now an NHTSA recall, # 15V-040.  Ford uses a different reference number in the letter stating you should ask your dealer for a service date for Recall # 15S02 and to give the dealer your VIN.

I just got the letter today.  It says they will inspect them and if they pass they will install "reinforcements to prevent future concerns" and if they fail a revised interior door handle assembly will be installed.  Of course, because it's a safety recall, no charges for parts or labor will be made regardless of age or mileage on your SHO.  They say less than 1/2 day... My dealer did that, the license plate light fixture, replaced the LP fuel pump, replaced the fuel control module, and test drove mine twice between 7am and noon on my last trip to the shop... so it should be quick if they get the parts.

They also list an address to get a refund if you've paid for this service or authorize the dealer to refund the money on presentation of a paid receipt.

Ha,  I blamed my 4 year old son for breaking my rear inside door handle.  I think he did yank on it.  Was fixed under warranty.  Will have them check it out on next visit.

I guess its a safety recall, like BiGMaC stated,recall#15S02 had mine performed a couple of weeks ago and they also had to order the part for the rear passenger door handle, and installed reinforcement clips on three doors based on the work order, cause the passenger rear door failed inspection, have an appt friday for a few issues hopefully can get resolved.Z.
