Chris!  Is there anyway I can get a couple more psi out of my tune?
 
It's really up to Dan (Millen) more so than anyone else, and.....

He tends to gear more towards the conservative side of the tuning perspective, rather than get too crazy.

But I suppose it'd be best to yield/defer to Chris for the best explanation on behalf of his company.

The tunes are pretty much figured out now..more boost in the factory turbos doesn't add up to more power...not without using methanol. How much boost are you running now?
 
I maxed out at 14 psi.  That's like 16-17% over stock (11-12).  I saw that 4DR had hit 23 the other night.  I know he had hose troubles but I thought just a couple more psi wouldn't hurt.  I don't understand, wouldn't that give me a little more power? 
 
4Dr is testing new, upgraded turbo's.... that's why he's peaking at those #'s.

Darrell also has upgraded turbo's, & I think is peaking at 22lbs currently.

You cannot, and will not see those settings with the stock turbo's.

Hell, even with methanol, & the LMS 'Stage 5' tune file, I am "only" peaking at 18lbs myself.

So, I highly doubt that LMS will just toss in a few extra pounds for you alone, but I guess it doesn't hurt to ask.

Yeah, I know you three guys are operating with special circumstances.  Methane, upgraded turbos and such.  I did a little research earlier.  I had always thought that stock, our turbos were putting out 11psi.  What I found was that they put out 12.  So, with the tune, they are only putting out 2 additional pounds.  I thought a 3-5 psi gain would be nice.  I just wanted another 1/2 off my 0-60.

You could be right.  I think it is also different between the models too.  Like the F-150 has so much more torque.  If it is 8-10 then 14 is probably plenty, as far as cranking them up.

Over the long weekend, if I don't get anxious sooner, I will return to stock and check it out.
 
11psi from the factory. Dont really need to go above 14 because the little turbos are out of there efficiency range after that. Believe me, we tried running more boost and didnt really make any more power
 
Thanks Darreli.  You saved me having to return to stock so I could measure it.  So the tune adds 3 psi.  That's respectable.  It's interesting that more boost didn't make more power. 
 
I wonder though, wth's going on over at LMS as of late though?

Although I myself have had nothing but stellar experiences with them, each and every time, this makes like the 3rd (and relatively recent) bad experience that I've heard about from other (and newer) customers.

I hope this is just a blip in the learning curve for whoever it is that has taken over Rick LeBlanc's responsibilities since his unfortunate departure.

I mean obviously those would be tough shoes for anyone to fulfill, but in the same token. the last few stories coming out of/from LMS would leave even the hardiest of their customer base a little bit leary.....

C'mon LMS, get back up to the plate and let's start hitting some home runs once again for the Eco Platform!

Anyone ever test those out for you? Any predictions on driveability, etc?

Just sent out an e-mail about the heads. As soon as I get something back I'll let you guys know. I know the prototype heads made amazing gains!

Spoke to Dan about this a few days ago. The heads are done, they havent been installed in anything yet.

I would love to be a test bed for these!!!!  My 13 is not as fast as the 10-12's with similar mods......
