Looks great! how would that center bar going across look with thaT?
Paint but you get the idea.

Being able to see what the chrome bar looks like black, I think I will give it a shot tomorrow. The nice thing about Plasti-Dip, if you don't like it, you can peel it off!

I Plasti-Dipped all the chrome trim on mine. My taillights were also pealing, that was my motivation.

hey a local who guy!  infact i almost bought your car last year....but ended up with an 11.

there are a few local SHO guys here.  we need a meet!

Badges done....

I'm not feeling the badges from that angle.  To me it just looks like somethings smeared on your paint.

I ran some errands today and kept looking at the badges. I changed my mind, didn't like it, so I took it off.

I kept the chrome trim around the tail lights black.

By the way ... dipyourcar.com.

Also, if you have any trouble with removal (too thin to peel, whatever) ... Goo Gone disolves plastidip. Enjoy!

So how "rugged" are plasti-dipped parts? What can I expect for life expectancy...1yr, 2yr or longer? Noticed my tail lights are peeling last weekend while detailing the SHO.... >:( >:( >:(

Dip is actually pretty tough stuff, once it fully cures. I dipped my sway bars on my LGT. It did not hold up under the bushings, but the rest of the bar is still going strong.

ive got plans for the "SHO" badge.....you guys will see pics tomorrow night....

here is what mines looks like with the same treatment.

I just re-did my TAURUS and SHO badges yesterday. I had a few nicks, so I figured i would mask everything and more some more coats on. Pretty soon I will have to do my tail lights, so I will take a bunch of photos and post them up as a sort of how-to.

Plasti-dip holds up well, especially on the rear of the car. Done correctly, 2 years no problem longevity. Just like paint, do the proper prep work to clean it well, and you will be happy.

They have a ton of different colors now as well.

I did the "shaver" part of the grill a while ago and have had no issues with it. No pitting, unlike my emblem, which looks sand blasted.

I'd love to see how it looks on white.  Hint hint!
