Rear Ended...

Reading SHO-TYM's post reminded me to post up my accident that happened last week. I was sitting at a light waiting for it to turn green, and when it turned green a second or two after and noticed something in my rear view and looked up just in time to see a kid not paying attention and slammed right into the back of me. Apparently we were both in the wrong place at the wrong time, as I had gotten off work a little early and he was going to get some stuff for one of his classes and neither of us would normally be at the intersection at that point in time. I currently have my car in the shop with $6800 in damages (Trunk floor pan has to be cutout and replaced, exhaust needs to be replace, lower bumper clip needs replaced, bumper needs to be fixed, frame needs slightly straightened in the back by like 1/4 inch I think they said, the bumper support needs tweaked). Thankfully I'm having them put on a StainlessWorks exhaust while they are at it (since its cheaper than OEM, they will be paying me $75 back!) I hadn't even made my first payment on it before this happened, but at least it's fixable and no one got hurt!

Man, so sorry to see this, but glad no one got hurt!  The Subie looks pretty smashed up, though, wow.  Hoping for a quick return to duty for your SHO.

Its estimated to take 13 days from the 15th, for right now I have a crappy rental Nissan Altima, base everything and has a CVT, it feels disgusting on the instead and now the I keep getting invalid key id...Lets hope enterprise will give me something else...

For as messed up that Subie is compared to your Taurus.... wow. Hope all is well and you get your Taurus back sooner than later!

I had to drive a toyota Carolla for a week for work.... shoot me in the foot! Oh how i missed my SHO!

Glad no one was injured.... Cars these days are made of the highest quality aluminum foil!  The Subi did a major submarine move... I bet it's totaled... Taurus doesn't look too bad.

Damn, that sucks!  Like you said, no one was hurt, cars can be replaced or repaired!  But the SHO definitely wins that match!

man that hurts.. as much as it sucks that these cars are so heavy, the few accidents we have had on here really haven't been that bad to the ford product.  I'm impressed on that fact. Hope it gets fixed perfectly

Thank god no one was hurt, seen a lot of jap cars split in half, always important to look at the crash rating,GO SHO.

Thanks for the post. Good that nobody was hurt. I almost got it the other day as I watched a lady screech to a stop behind me, had nowhere to go, luck was on my side as she stopped.
I'm sure you drove away, the Subie obviously didn't.

Then there are those on side roads that come barreling up to the stop sign, not realizing the psychological impact on the driver on the main road approaching them.  Have enough of that around here.
