Recommended SCT Config File for Logging

I'd talk to your tuner to see everything they would like to see other then that I think knock, timing and AFR is critical I don't know what numbers to start being worried.

Here is my latest...

The mass of air in one cylinder DMR shows graph data but no numerical values so IDK what is up with that.

There a couple of goodies...airflow, WTQ to engine torque, rate of acceleration, etc.

Some of these may not work depending on year/strategy.

Enjoy!

So what's the whole deal with some years now populating the torque values? My 2013 PP won't log any of the available DMRs that I have on my list.

IDK, I've found the whole process to be a PITA.

It took a while to get DMRS functioning and it will not work unless the car is hooked up, even using validated pids only. It just loads the file to 97% and fails if its not.

My resolution sucks....sometimes I get a warning about single data rate, sometimes I don't and I haven't figured out the specific pids that cause it. Once I see the warning, nothing I do changes it.

SBS thinks I have too many running so I probably need to build a file with less pids. The problem is there is stuff needed for AJP and other stuff I like to watch in gauge mode....using one file that I can just hit record anytime for a log is super convenient. So smaller file or run 2 and lose the ability to log on the fly.

I'm hoping the GTX has more horsepower but so far its been vaporware unless you own a fiat diesel truck or a silverado...thanks SCT!

I found with my car ('13 pp) that I can only log 38 items.  Created a challenge the 1st time I tried logging and tuning with Torrie until we figured it out.  Also meant dropping some PID's when AJP needed to run 6cyl knock for my car to dial it in due to unforseen KR.

..  that sounds more like a cable issue or hand-held issue.  38 pids is no problem for me.

Did you update the handheld firmware recently?  i saw there was a update but i have been actively AVOIDING it since the current hand-held firmware works fine for my 2010.

It could be the handheld.

There have always been drop outs and it is known to freeze in gauge mode on occasion.

I won't spend a penny on another POS X4 though.

It is a tiny microcomputer. have you considered resetting it?  I have never done this so i do not know what that entails.. but it stands to reason it has it's own file-system, temp files, settings and spaces for the operating system.  maybe it needs a kick in the head?
