Rev Xtreme after market Throttle Body

Aftermarket throttle bodies are a popular upgrade among many performance enthusiasts .

First SHO had his modified .... Not sure how .

BBK makes one for the 3.5 EB in the F150 and claim an additional 15 to 20 HP .

I think I saw in a post that Tuner Boost was developing one for the 3.5 EB but I'm can't find the post .

Any one have any experience with this on any other engine ?

I am curious to any other benefits that could be gained .

I am going to step out on limb on this one and figure that any component that has to with the air intake to our vehicles is not going to realize any performance gains. Air going is not the problem, it is coming up with the fuel to match that creates the bottleneck.

There was no performance gain per se, however.....

FirstSHO did state throttle response was "peppier" FWIW.

What is the diameter of our stock throttle body?

Throttle body measurements are taken on the inside diameter of the TB were it bolts to the intake manifold , not from the outside diameter of the TB inlet .
The 3.5 EB in the F150 uses a 68mm OEM TB and the aftermarket BBK upgrade is 73mm . I'll take the one off my SHO and measure it , as I'm curious .

Stage 3  Motor Sports did an install on a F150 and dynoed it and picked up 14 HP and better throttle response ....

Tuner Boost is going to make a CNC TB and I will be the sole distributor once it's available :)
Good deal ... I just couldn't find the post...
Any idea on expected gains ?

Can't tell you anything until it's built.
It should fit all of the transverse vehicles!
We'll of course test it on BigMac's car :P

Cool.... :thumb: Mike any preliminary cost estimates from Tracy?

I personally see no advantage to a larger throttle body on forced induction motor. Other than as mentioned by BPD with 1stsho's experience.

And the other question is if the IC would become a flow restriction... Still... If they build it... It should be tested to see... You're much more versed than I am, but i'm still surprised by some of the things that come out of mods with this car.

There's an advantage for sure but only when the air flow demands call for it and even before the TB should be enlarged you need to be looking at a larger IC and piping along with an intake manifold that is flanged for the larger size and designed to flow more air
