SCT Boost in PSI PID vs kpa

Anyone else notice that the boost in PSI is about .5 psi off in the SCT X4 PID? 211kpa is about 15.9psi but the Boost PID is showing around 15.4? I wonder why the discrepancy?

211 kpa = 30.60psi

30.60psi - 14.69(1 atm) = 15.91psi..

Curious if anyone has seen this? If the PID is not accurate then its garbage in my book...

I wonder if its referencing TIP or MAP?

I'm not running the baro PID so I can't compare.

A cursory glance shows MAP and TIP about 2 PSI different on a random log so maybe that's the discrepancy.

not sure if this contributes much but being way the hell up here with much less atmosphere i always factor in my baro pressure to calculate kpa to psi.
my tune commands 191kpa-83kpa(baro)=15.66 psi.
so if someone asks i have a 15ish psi tune.
unless your almost exactly at sea level i feel you should factor it in so you know how much PSI over YOUR atmosphere you're running.
if i used the universal 14.7psi of atmosphere i'd think i was at 13 psi LOL!

Damn I couldn't live there...Cars would be too slow lol....What was that elevation?

IIRC that was ~12,000ft. Don't worry Brad, if you were up that high i would be worried about YOU suffocating!

And yeah the local racetrack i race at is 5800ft. But Brad's tune still got me into the 12's!

How much boost are you running?
