sct device failure

So as my device is once again dead, twice in the last year, I pondered is this why Livernois went to mycal from SCT?  Pulled it out today to clear codes on the SHO, didn't boot up and instead gave me a system file error needs to be reloaded.  I went to SCT's help line and went on chat.  9 minutes later, it logged me off of there and instructed me to email for help.  Their help desk is until 9pm CST.  I started around 745 to get ahold of them.  Didn't hear anything back.  I'll try again tomorrow.  Good thing I didn't need to load a tune!

What model are you using? This is the first I have read of any failures.

Haven't heard of any widespread failures with the SCT.  Hope they can get you taken care of quick.

LMS switched to MyCal to gain better in-house control of PCM programming (including more parameters).  This switch was made before the X4 came out.  Don't know how the MyCal and SCT compare head-to-head at this time.

3015.  If you google SCT file system failure needs to be reloaded.....it's out there.

The posts (google) I have seen about a SCT failure were mostly 2011/12. And in several forums it was the same op.

Just saying.

How was your luck with SCT yesterday?

Mine failed as well, General Device Failure, told me to update firmware, but my computer wont even see it, and cant get back to the screen.  Had to ship it back to SCT, they have had it a week as of tomorrow.  Blacklightening99, how did you make out, and how long did SCT have your device?

My X4's internal memory crashed on me... it took my factory tune with it... was quite a pain to get back to factory but sct said they would pay to have the dealer flash it... if it came to that.

Wow sorry to hear that, happy sct at least offered to do the right thing for you.  How long did it take sct to turn around your device?  This driving around without being tuned is getting old

Took 7 days for them to even Look at it. All in total with shipping time it was 16 days.

Not good.  Hopefully a firmware update will fix these problems!
