SHO 2013/14+ Megan Racing Coil-Overs ....XSport Next

Unfortunately this may be dead. I've heard nothing from Megan Racing since sending them measurements for a revised top hat on Aug the 13th, even after repeated texts and emails since then without a single response.

Frustrating to say the least.

Is the top hat the only remaining issue to be resolved?  Maybe they will respond better to phone calls, worth a shot.  The potential customers would be the SHO, Flex (all trims?), and X (all trims?)?  Do we need to make this a cross-forum effort, get a realistic headcount?

I can set up a poll to estimate the interest from the members on here.

Hard to believe Megan has so much business that they don't want to sell more products ???  Last Saturday just within a couple towns of mine while tooling around, I saw and counted six Explorer Sports and two of them clearly had rim/tire changes and/or mods.  These are the guys that would be buying coil over kits in a heartbeat.  As I've said 10X in this thread, they can hold my '14 ExSport for a week at their facility if they need a development Mule...

Yes, I believe the top hat is the only hiccup. Phone calls work just as good as emails and texts lol.

I agree. Maybe we're just not worth it to them compared to their larger Honda, Subaru, etc market.

I've had my car with them for two 2 week stints, so who knows if and when this will ever be completed.

Just got an email back, they said for now they are very very close but SEMA has halted updates for the next few weeks.

Since you are going for a hi-perf SHO, you'd be better off waiting for the coilovers, unless you want to get a feel for a lowered SHO in the meantime & get a great deal on H&Rs.

Danny just emailed me, he needs someone to stop by to check fitment of the kit - it's DONE!

From Danny:
Okay, Please let me know as soon as you do. I know you guys have been waiting on this for a while. I'm trying to take care of all my pending prototypes before I have to fly out again.

Best Regards,

Danny Anguiano.

I hope they still wanna move forward with an Ex Sport kit 8)  In my neighborhood I see 10 Ex Sports for every SHO.  It's soccer Mom/Dad country :-[
