SHO Wagon

This has been around for awhile .....

Anyone stumbled on this before ?

Interesting concept ... I think , I always was a fan of the Dodge Magnum.......

Yea, that concept image of new Taurus wagon has been around for a while.

I highly doubt it'll ever reach production. The potential sales #'s are just not there.

Just like Dodge saw 1st hand with the Magnum's. Thus their quick demise.

I had a few friends with those "Maggie's" back when I was rock'n the Charger. Cool cars for sure.

Like I said though, sales were pitifully poor.

I think the reason has been that you can buy SUVs/CUVs and then lower them to carlike heights.  So no wagons unless custom made by third parties.  BTW, I too am a big fan of the Magnum, especially the SRT8  :)

Mercedes E class AMG will outrun our vehicles... If you have $130,000.  Friend has an E-350 wagon... Beautiful car... not fast and $65,000.

Just saying I still think the market is still out there , especially if there was a Lincoln version ....

Since I have MODED my SHO the Dealer that I bought mine from have sold Three BECAUSE the interest mine has stirred up by talking with Folks That Were not aware of the SHO .

Has helped me out $$$$$  , My salesman loves me !

I think part of it is because Ford's marketing is not aggressive enough and also because of the plain Jane image that most folks associate with the Taurus.

If I turn back the clock five years and two vehicles, I had a modded 2006 Dodge Magnum R/T AWD that I absolutely loved. If they made a Taurus SHO wagon I would be lining up to buy it. I am a huge fan of station wagons, it is just too bad there are so few variants remaining.

I disagree, I think it would be a total flop. When I look at the MKT of my wife and would imagine a MKS wagon, they are almost identical.
Already, they are not selling many Lincoln MKT, if there was a wagon also, they would split the sales in two.

Let me find an image of my MKT and I'll upload it and compare it to the Taurus Wagon up here, very very similar!

If you look at Cadillac offering, their CTS coupe, CTS sedan, CTS wagon and SRX are all distinctive enough to interest different clients.

A MKS Wagon or MKT are too similar. Actually, at least the MKT offers you the possibility of 7 passengers, so the wagon would lose arguments...

I would say that the MKT IS the MKS wagon.  I would guess that from the B pillar forward, they are the same thing.

Mks is to Sho as Mkt is to Flex

They look different, although I agree the need for wagon versions of the sho and mks is uneeded because of flex/mkt

It's niche car for sure... I'll bet that like the Dodge Magnum of late, and the Volvo 1800ES sports wagon of the 60's -early 70's they could end up collectable... especially in the SHO... rare.

The old 1800 ES adds used to encourage owners to harrass porsche and mecedes owners on the road.  Not unlike the mentality of us SHO owners ..LOL

I have to agree with Steve, I don't think a wagon has much of a market any longer.  Between minivans and every size SUV/Crossover that comes with 4 wheel drive, there isn't much wagon market.  Also, if Ford did make a Taurus wagon, I really would be surprised to see it offered as a SHO, I think you would see it as an SEL/Limited.
